I've wanted to get my teeth fixed for the last 2 years, and just never pulled the trigger until now. I had traditional braces on for 2.5 years when I was 10.5 years old-my adult teeth came in very early and my orthodontist was comfortable putting them on that early. I was a huge thumb sucker up until getting my braces on, and apparently after breaking that habit I turned into a tongue thruster... more
I started with Invisalign Braces almost 3 years ago. Sometime around October of 2012 I noticed the packaging on the new sets stated they were now manufactured in Mexico. Around this time I started feeling odd pressure in my ear. This came and went off and on for months. Then my glands in my neck started to swell on the same side which would go around to the back side of my neck on occasion. I... more
I'm pleased with the results so far and the shifting of the teeth is ever so slight each time but really works! Each tray is painful the first day or so, I wear them 16-18 hours a day. To me, it didn't seem to matter if you get them at your dentist or at an ortho because how they explained it to me is that they only take the impressions and send them away to a lab where your trays are made. It sounds like the process is pretty much computerized. Invisalign is new at my dentist, so everyone there has been excited for me. They... more
Today is day four for me, I started treatment on Friday (today is Monday). It's gotten a lot easier every day, today I am accustomed to the tray and don't notice it nearly as much as the first two days. The worst was on Friday and I kept thinking, "what am I getting into". Some of the edges were poking me in the cheeks and tongue, my jaw hurt from not being... more
I am on my 7th set of invisalign and can say I am having a great experience so far.
I wanted to get braces because I am getting married next year and my teeth have always bothered me, although most people didnt see the point because my teeth were not extremly crooked. The whole invisalign experience is great because they are removable! No one ever notices when I have them in. I can take... more
