What Do You Do when You Dont Know if You Can Afford Breast Reduction Surgery but Feel You Need It? (photo)

I am 21 and i am 5'3 and about 160 to 175lbs an is has a somewhat tiny figure and have not yet had children. I have upper back pain an sagging with my breast. I am a 34O in bra size and have been sized with professional's more than once. I dont know if insurance will cover it and if they only cover some i dont know whether I will be able to afford the rest!!

A: Breast Reduction

First off, I think you would be thrilled with the results of a breast reduction. At your age you do have to understand that the scars are permanent and the surgery could possibly interfere with breast feeding. See a surgeon and have his office preauthorize the surgery for you with your insurance carrier. I have, over the years, found that more and more patients are denied as the insurance companies limit coverage. Probably 30-40% of my patients are declined by their carrier. We have developed "Cosmetic Fees" that are affordable for patients that are told by the insurance company that, by their standards, the patient does not need surgery. So get a consult or two and you may find it is more affordable than you think.

Normal To Share Rhinoplasty Surgical Plan Details With Surgeon Post-Consultation?

Following a detailed consultation and evaluation for rhinoplasty is it ok to ask the doctor to share with you the surgical plan in detail, with the actual amount of change proposed for each nasal area? For example the following - Reduce projection of tip in profile view by 5mm. Nasolabial angle to stay the same. Reduce tip width in frontal view by 2mm. Reduce width of bridge in frontal view by 2mm. Maintain radix height at same level. Reduce length of nostril opening in profile view by 2mm.

Kenny, none of what you want can be predicted to your specifications. Were you to come to my office I would definitely tell you that and also would not do the surgery as your expectations for the procedure are just not realistic.  That guarantees an unhappy patient no matter how skillful the surgery.

My Breasts Are Too Far Apart, Will a Breast 'Lift' Help?

I'm a 10D or 8DD and feel they are too far apart, I can fit 3 fingers in the middle before the tissue begins to thicken. They are not saggy at all and I'm happy with the size. Is there such a thing as a breast lift inwards? How much would this cost and what are the options/complications? They look amazing in a push up bra but in a bikini they dissappear out the sides, any info would help :)

A: Cleavage

If you have a broad space of just skin on bone, it is unlikely breast lift or breast enlargement will make that better.
