Is It Easy to Re Implant if I'm Unhappy with my Explant?
I'm explanting in a weeks time, my breasts were an A cup to begin with and I have 335 allergan under the muscle. I have never really liked the size they are, or the fakeness of them and actually preferred my pre op breasts ( feel etc ) but I am aware they may not return to the way they were. I have had my implants 4 years, but have had a pregnancy in that time. Im just wondering if I am unhappy with the outcome, can I re implant without extra risk? Are pert breasts possible? Lift maybe?
A: breast implants after an explantIf you are unhappy with the current look and feel of your implants, then I agree with your decision to proceed with an explantation. Whether a lift is necessary with the explant is a decision that only you and your plastic surgeon can make -- in other words, that decision can't be made without a consultation. While a lift with your explantation will raise your nipple, it will not give you that fullness on your superior chest. I have found that my patients who no longer want the look of implants are very happy with an explantation and a lift.
One other thing to keep in mind is that it is extremely difficult to predict the post-operative size of your breasts. And yes, if you are unhappy with the appearance after explantation, you can have the implants replaced. I would probably recommend waiting at least 3-6 months (if not longer) before making that decision. Good luck!
Unhappy With Results, What Is The Protocol For Breast Augmentation Revision Pricing?
1st week follow up after having BA. I was a bit shocked at my PCs attitude. He seemed to be defensive when I said I did not like the results. He also said I chose the size I have. Actually, the size looks nothing close to the size I tried on. What do I do? Normally if a revision is done would I have to pay again? I feel I went through only to be disappointed. He said they will look smaller when settled. They look small now since they are sitting so high, and nothing on bottom.
A: revision following breast augmentationSorry to hear that you are unhappy with your results. However, as difficult as it may be, I would encourage you to be patient. One week after surgery is till too soon to determine the final results -- breasts will continue "to settle" after an augmentation for 2-3 months. Sometimes as the muscle relaxes, the breasts take on a different, more pleasing shape. If after they have settled, you are still unhappy with the results, then I would encourage you to calmly discuss your dissatisfaction with your surgeon.
Each practice has a different policy regarding revisions following cosmetic surgery. Usually, most practices will give you a revision policy in writing before you have your original surgery. I would encourage you to find out the revision policy for your plastic surgeon -- many times, you will be responsible for the cost of implants, operating room, and anesthesia (and the surgeon's fee will be waived). Check with your surgeon.
Good luck!
What Is a Good Implant Size For My Flat Chest? I'm a Figure Competitor.
Im 5"2 120lbs, 34A maybe B very saggy completely flat. If I wear a t-shirt no bra and stand to the side you can see nothing. My PS wants me to get 400cc unders and disect medial portion of the muscle. I am a figure competitior and I dont want to be too large and I'm worried about the cutting of my muscle. I only want to be a C. Any advice?
A: implant size, have "flat" chestIt is difficult to say what size implant is best for you without first examining you. However, I would advise you to communicate fully with your plastic surgeon about your goals and concerns. Being a figure competitor, you know the look that you would like. Show pictures to your surgeon if you feel like this will help convey your goals better.
Also, keep in mind that it is difficult to predict cup size after surgery because so much of it depends on how the bra is fitted and on your chest measurements.
Good luck!
