I have lost around 90 pounds but I am unsatisfied with my stomach and back despite exercise.I am 21 and I don't have any children.I was told by the receptionist that the doctor most likely wouldn't perform a tummy tuck since I plan on having children in the future(8-10 years)but do I really have any options besides a tummy tuck?
It looks like you are a candidate for tumescent liposuction which can be done in office using local anesthesia with quick recovery. The procedure should improve your shape significantly but may leave irregularities such that you will not wear a bikini but I would imaging it would really help your weight loss. You may also be a candidate for Coolsculpting which is non-surgical but it is likely that more than one treatment per area would be needed for best results in addition to keeping up your great progress on your weight loss.
I am a 23yr old female looking to improve my side profile. I have a lot of fat under my chin and this causes an awful side profile. It also shows from the front. From what I've read neck/chin liposuction could be a good option. Also chin implants seem like another possible idea.
At this point lipo looks like the most logical option for you because it will redrape your entire jaw line and bring back a beautiful profile. I would avaoid any implant at this time -
I am a 27 year old female. I am 5'7" and weigh 190. I use to weigh 250. I seem to have been at a plateau for the past 4 years and Im okay with that. But I have the ugly hanging pouch, and am only 30 lbs from my goal weight (I have very large breasts and thick thighs and butt so I know I will never be tiny.) Anyways, I just want my pouch gone and a flatter tummy. Am I a candidate for either procedure?
congratulations on your significant 60 pound weight loss! frequently we find a significant amount of skin laxity and a separation between the abdominal muscles with patients who have had a significant weight loss. If this is the case abdominoplasty or tummy tuck is probably ideal procedure. If your skin tone is reasonable and your muscle is in good shape in liposuction could very well be the answer. Seeking consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon would be the next logical step. Take care. Dr. Hunstad
