Why is It Difficult to Get Good Results for Bags Under the Eyes with Juvederm?

What are some of the problems with Juvederm filler for bags?

A: Juvederm for undereye bags

Juvederm can work well for treating under eye bags in some people, but there is a limit to what can be achieved with a filler.  Juvederm doesn't treat the bags themselves, but helps blend the area better with the cheek below.  A board-cerified plastic surgeon would be able to help choose the right treatment for you.

How Do I Remove Juvederm Injected Into Cheeks?

Previously in CA, 1/3 of a vial of Rystalane to fill shallow acne scars in cheeks every 9 mths. Now, in LA I have seen two doctors, one Derm, one PS, 4 V's of Juvaderm, both missed the scars, which everyone can see. The result is they injected three 1/2 vials into my cheeks which were already full. I look like a chipmonk WITH acne scars remaining. I wanted NO volume. Also placed too much in my top lip now protruding over the bottom lip. UGLY! Help !

A: Removing Juvederm

As expressed by others, Juvederm is not a permanent filler, therefore it will slowly disappear on its own after 6-12 months.  If you are very dissatisfied with the outcome, the physician can inject hyaluronidase to quickly dissolve the filler.

Real Pain with Juvederm Injections Around Mouth. Can This Be Avoided?

Rate it right up there with getting a Tat! Hesitant to do it again tho I like the results. What can help me. Thanks!

A: Decreasing the pain of Juvederm injections

There are many options for decreasing the pain of filler (Juvederm) injections.  A topical numbing agent can be applied prior to the procedure, a nerve block can be performed  numbing the lips and area around the mouth, and many of the fillers including Juvederm have an anesthetic mixed in with the product to make the injections more comfortable.
