Is Breast Reduction a Good Idea for Me?

I'm 17, 5'2, 108lbs and wear a 30E/DDD. My breasts have caused me extreme discomfort and very poor self esteem. I am also a very serious ballet student, and they make everything so much more difficult and sometimes painful. Would I be a good candidate for breast reduction? Also, would it be possible to aim for an A cup? I have pretty small ribcage and a very short torso and I know you can't really guarantee anything but I think an A would be most proportionate.

A: breast reduction in a 17 year old

You should get excellent relief of your symptoms with a breast reduction. You likely could be reduced to a B cup but not smaller. You would need to assume that you could not breast feed future children ( although it is fine to attempt to do so) and you need to understand that there will be long permanet scars of an unpredicable nature.

Please give this careful consideration and seek the advice of a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.

What Is The Approximate Time for Breast Implant Inframammary Incision to Heal?

Good evening, How long does it take for the breast implant inframammary incision site to heal 100%? Thank you!

A: Incision Healing Time

The inframammary incision should be healed enough for you to shower in 2-3 days. At 2 weeks the incision is as strong as it will ever be-so avoid trauma to the area until then. It will then take 1-2 years for the scar to finish remodeling and look as good as it is going to look. Hope this is helpful to you.

Is 400 CC to0 Big on 5ft 2 Frame

A: 400cc implants in a 5'2" patient

Are 400cc implants too large for someone who is 5'2"? That is, of course, a matter of taste.

My initial thought is that implants that size will make you look heavier and older than you are.I would advise that you return to your surgeon wearing a snug fitting top, and then try on gel sizers of 400 ccs. That, I think, would be even more helpful than looking at photographs. You may love that look, or you may not. Good luck!
