I Need Some Advice About 500 Cc's Saline Implant Placement. Above or Below Muscle?
I've had 2 consults with 2 diff PSs & they both had diff suggestions. The first PS suggested Cresent Lift,500cc Saline Anatomical Implant placed over the muscle. The 2nd PS was completely against a cresent & an anatomical implant & suggested Benelli Lift, 500cc Saline implant placed under the muscle.I've done so much reading & research and I'm just left feeling more confused than before! Initially I thought a 500cc Saline implant under the muscle with a Cresent Lift would be my answer...HELP! :)
A: implant placementA 500 cc saline implant is going to be quite heavy and I would predict that your chances of the implant "bottoming out" over time is very high. A crescentic lift will strecth out and look unsightly over time. The submuscular placement is the better option but do consider using not so large implants. If you really want that volume I would recommend gel implants instead.
Is Breast Reduction a Good Idea for Me?
I'm 17, 5'2, 108lbs and wear a 30E/DDD. My breasts have caused me extreme discomfort and very poor self esteem. I am also a very serious ballet student, and they make everything so much more difficult and sometimes painful. Would I be a good candidate for breast reduction? Also, would it be possible to aim for an A cup? I have pretty small ribcage and a very short torso and I know you can't really guarantee anything but I think an A would be most proportionate.
A: breast reduction in a 17 year oldYou should get excellent relief of your symptoms with a breast reduction. You likely could be reduced to a B cup but not smaller. You would need to assume that you could not breast feed future children ( although it is fine to attempt to do so) and you need to understand that there will be long permanet scars of an unpredicable nature.
Please give this careful consideration and seek the advice of a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.
What Is The Approximate Time for Breast Implant Inframammary Incision to Heal?
Good evening, How long does it take for the breast implant inframammary incision site to heal 100%? Thank you!
A: Incision Healing TimeThe inframammary incision should be healed enough for you to shower in 2-3 days. At 2 weeks the incision is as strong as it will ever be-so avoid trauma to the area until then. It will then take 1-2 years for the scar to finish remodeling and look as good as it is going to look. Hope this is helpful to you.
