I always say go with your gut, and this has proven to be true when searching for the right doctor. I initially had a consultation with Dr. Anil Shah in Chicago, and to put it kindly he wasn't my favorite. After waiting an hour and a half, I finally walked out of the appointment and asked them to email me the information as I was out of time. That wasn't the basis for my decision however; I've... more
I was so eager to have this procedure done since I was in high school but my parents was against it, I also attempt this when I had my second child in 1991 but a divorce from my first husband made my inability to pay for it shattered that. Then while I was working at a former hospital I came across Dr. David Shifrin and looking at some of his clients pics and doing my research I had my first... more
I had a very dominant nose with a large bump, a tip that pointed down, and when I would smile, it would hook down further and to the left. Now I have a beautiful nose that fits my face and doesn't hook when I change expressions. I look so natural and not "manufactured". Dr. Mameniskis is an experienced and fully certified surgeon, with a real aesthetic skill. I expected every successful... more
My experience has moved pretty quickly bc I'm having my procedure in 2 days. It was decided last week that I would have a cyst removed that we found during my MRI. Its huge this cyst. ...and the more I thought about getting it removed, I was like, welllllllll while you're there.....lol I asked about getting it a little more refined. I'm not super unhappy with my nose, but as i get older I hate... more

My recovery was easy- no bruising or discomfort to speak of. I left surgery with a small tape bandage on my nose and had to use saline spray for about 6 months to keep things moist. I had some tenderness in the... more
I've been thinking of getting a nose job for a VERY long time. I've always known I've had a more prominent nose and have wanted one since I was considerably younger (12ish). I thought I would grow into it, and for a while I did. I hit 18 and was ok with my nose. But it didn't take long for it to pick up the pace again (I read somewhere the nose never stops growing). It got... more
I had surgery the end of May 2007. I had a bump on the bridge of my nose from breaking it in a horseback riding accident when I was 16. I am very unhappy with the results. Although the bump is now gone, my nostrils are completely uneven and the tip of my nose is crooked. My nose looks much worse than it did before the surgery. more
