I know it seems like a silly question but its really not. Take for example my hair stylist. I've found she does a much better job if I'm her very first client of the day. Verses being the last when she;s worked all day and tired. I know a stylist goes through a lot more clients in a day then a surgeon, so their not comparable. But i'm still wondering if it makes a difference? I've researched my surgeon and am confident in him but i'm still looking for the best possible results, as is anyone!!
Actually, according to studies done in a variety of fields of surgery there was no difference in complications between the first and last case. Now that doesn't mean you can't have a preference. Personally, if I have a long and a short case, I would do the short case first, but every surgeon has their own preferences. Discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon.
How can I convince my family that I don't have Body Dismorphic Disorder, but just want to change my nose because I've always been unhappy with it? My family thinks I'm mentally ill and need psychiatric help. I just want a smaller nose! I'm sick of people saying "your nose isn't THAT bad" because I know what it looks like, and I've disliked it for a decade now. They are questioning if having nose surgery would make me happier or more miserable and make me want more surgery.
Perhaps it would be helpful to you to have a group session with your family and a counselor or psychiatrist and work through these issues. It would only help you to have everyone on board before any surgery.
Hi, I had rhinoplasty done a month ago and now that the swelling has gradually subsided, I see that the silicon implant is gradually slanting to the right. When I touch the implant with my thumb and fingers lightly, I can feel it jutting to the right. What should I do? Wait for till further swelling has subsided and maybe the implant will straighten out? The surgeon did open method, used an 'I' shape implant, reduced my nostrils and did work on my tip using septal cartilage. I need advice.
The best advice will come from your own surgeon who is best qualified to know what was done and if this is shifting or swelling. If it is shifting then you have to have it replaced.
