Perlane vs Juvederm Ultra Plus

I had perlane injected in my nasal labial folds 3 years ago and it looked completely natural. I had just a slight loss of volume in my nasal labial region that I wanted filled. I tried juvederm ultra plus a few months ago for the same region and it seems to have changed the shape of the region. Instead of just filling in the loss of volume it is flat looking, different then the surrounding tissue.I need one more syringe can I try to alleviate the issue with using perlane? Why did this happen?

A: Perlane v Juvederm Ultra Plus

Since you had a great correction with Perlane in the past and are less pleased with Juvederm Ultra Plus, it may make sense to use Perlane again . First, I would be certain that the injections were done by the same doctor. If not, then it may be a matter of technique rather than product. In my experience Perlane and Juvederm are similar but no where near identical fillers so be sure that you get the results you want and work with your doctor to achieve optimal results.

How Can I Metabolize Juvederm Faster?

Female. 23 yo. Had juvederm injections in lips 2 months ago and procedure was botched. Ended up with asymmetry + two small lumps. Don't feel comfortable w/this surgeon and no other dr. will inject hyaluronidase. Having not performed original procedure - recommend letting product dissolve on its own. Problem is not extreme but very bothersome to me. Had juvederm before w/great results lasting >1 year. Don't want to wait so long. What can I do to help my body more quickly metabolize the juvederm?

A: Help for "botched" Juvederm

Juvederm can be dissolved very easily with hyaluronidase. You need to find a dermatologist who has experience with fillers and they can inject the hyaluronidase. You may need to have the records from your other doctor so that the dermatologist can know for sure what product was used and how much. This should be a simple solution. If you cannot find someone to inject the hyaluronidase then you can massage the areas as firm as you can and use a q tip to massage the small bumps. This should help resolve your problem. Good luck
