Will Fillers Improve my Rhinoplasty Result?
I am a 21 year old female who is 4 weeks post-op primary rhinoplasty. I had my bump shaved down and deviated septum corrected. I have been left with an up-turned very swollen bulbous tip and seriously short nose - (I actually liked my nose length better before) and it is very ski-sloped which I hate! How long should I wait before considering injectable fillers and will they fix this? Are there any side-effects? How long do they last? Is it better to wait and have a revision? Thank you
A: fillers following rhinoplasty I would advise consulting with your surgeon as they know exactly what was done and what your outcome should be. That being said 3-6 months following surgery is the soonest I would inject following surgery as risks of complications of fillers in the nose is greatly increased after rhinoplasty. What Happens to a BCC Left Unremoved?
I'm sure that there are a lot of people out there with basal and squamos cell cancers out there. What really happens if they never get them removed?
A: untreated basal cell carcinoma In general, basal cell carcinomas are not life threatening skin cancers . They are however known as the rodent ulcer. This term comes from the fact that they are locally destructive to the tissue. They certainly can invade and eat in to bone. Aside from being disfiguring, this cancer can eventually spread and when it does it is more deadly than melanoma. Can I Do Local Anesthesia at Doctors Office for Scalp Lipoma Removal?
I need lipoma removal on back of head mid-scalp area, the size is about 2 inches wide, just soft, fatty liquid. Outpatient hospital is too expensive, can I do local anesthesia at a doctor's office?
A: Lipoma removal in dermatologist officeLipoma removal is usually a very safe , quick effective procedure. I have removed lipomas that are more than 4 inches wide safely and effectively in the office and this is common in dermatologists offices. So please get a second opinion before booking your surgery in a hospital for what may be able to be done safely, less expensively in another safe setting. As always, you must trust your doctor and they should do what is best for you, just let them know your preference for outpatient in office surgery to see if this makes sense.
