I had restylane in the past for my lips and had a terrible time with swelling. The most recent treatment I switched doctors and she used Juvederm. I didn't swell at all and love the results. Why did I have so much unattractive swelling with restylane in the past? And why would a doctor choose restylane over juvederm?
I have seen no difference in the swelling caused by either Restylane or Judederm. I believe injection technique and the amount of product used make the most difference. I try to limit the number of times that that I put the needle in the lips to 2, because I have found tha the trauma of multiple pokes is the biggest cause of swelling.
Earlier today, I had some restylane put into my nasolabial folds and nasogenian grooves. On the left side of my nose (but not on the right) I am getting purplish splotches that follow vein patterns in areas that the needle didn't touch all the way up the side of the nose. What might be going on and how long might it last? Thank you.
Any sign of skin blotchiness after filler injection should require immediate examination by the physician injector. This may be a sign of compromise of skin circulation and should be addressed with warm compress, and possible consideration of nitroglycerin patch and hyaluronidase injection (if hyaluronic acid filler such as Restylane, Juvederm, or Perlane is injected). This is one of the reasons that consumers should never shop on price of filler injection alone; you must be confident that the physician injector is competent to intervene in case a unexpected complication happens.
I'm 22 years old and i'm getting into modeling. signed up with a huge modeling agency this month and i'm very keen to get lips like maybe close to angelina or scarlet johanson. my lips are normal sized not thin at all. should i opt for restylane or juvederm? please help!! i heard restylane lipp is specially for the lips and even juvederm ultra plus is for lip volume? please tell me which one to go for to specifically increase volume plumpness.
