Awesome Doctor! - La Jolla, CA

I had an augmentation done by Dr. C back in February 2010. The facility is gorgeous and makes you feel so relaxed and comfortable... every single one of the staff members are so extremely nice & friendly... and Dr. C is just awesome! You can definitely tell he knows what he's doing and genuinely has your best interests in mind. I've recommended him to all of my friends who are considering a procedure of any kind because my experience was nothing short of amazing. Not to mention, my ladies look fabulous!! :) My friend and I are also going back this week for a Juvederm treatment in our lips. I saw his work on some of his staff and it looked great!

Arm + a Little Bra Fat Liposuction, 44 Y/o Female, 160lbs, Del Mar CA

Dr. Chasen recommended traditional lipo over laser assisted because of the possibility of getting burned.

MOMMY MAKEOVER - San Diego, CA. (Del Mar)

Dr. Chasan is the most AMAZING Plastic surgeon, I am so relieved that I chose such a talented Doctor to do my mommy makeover. He far exceeded my expectations and my results are beautiful. He is a Dr. of great integrity with compassionate and caring bed side manners that make talking to him so comfortable and easy . He also discusses all the procedures, recovery and what to expect before and after surgery, so you understand every detail of what will be happening to you , I love that !! I mostly appreciate his honesty, when I told him what I wanted and he described in detail what was possible in my personal situation, I was relieved that he understood and listen to me and never gave me false expectations. I must say I am 100% ecstatic with my results . Dr.Chasan is an artist and takes Pride in every surgery he performs. He is very passionate about his work and it shows. I highly recommend Dr. Chasan , he and his staff made every part of my surgery and recovery so easy they are always available whenever I have questions and are very pleasant to talk with I will be a forever patient.

Finally! - Del Mar, CA

Through it all I have to say that not only is Dr. Chasan skilled, as evident by my results but his entire team has been helpful, supportive, encouraging and vested in my surgery. They have helped coordinate hotels, pivate nurses, transportation and even provided rides on occasion. Dr. Chasan has personally responded to emails, text messages and after hour/weekend phone calls. To accommodate my schedule he even came into the surgery center on a Saturday. I know I found and trusted the only plastic surgeon that could have finally make this happen for me.

Obsessed with Tension

After genetics, the most important factor for achieving a perfect scar is avoiding tension on the skin closure; this is established at the time of the operation. The skin as an organ is designed to keep out the environment, and therefore has an enormous amount of immunologic and inflammatory cells. When the skin is injured with a surgical procedure or if there is significant tension placed on the skin, there is an increased recruitment of these cells leading to more inflammation. This can...

No Trauma, No Drama

The skin as an organ is designed to keep out the environment, and therefore has an enormous amount of immunologic cells. When the skin is injured with a surgical procedure or if there is significant tension placed on the skin, there is an increased recruitment of these cells leading to more inflammation which could result in a thick, red scar. As a revisionary specialist, who focuses on ways to minimize scars, I utilize several techniques to prevent trauma to the skin. A very common cause...

Make a Good Decision When Selecting a Surgeon

“Lo Barato es mas carro” is a Spanish term that translates to “the cheaper it is the more expensive it becomes”. This is very appropriate in the field of cosmetic surgery. I often see patients who are willing to consider going to Tijuana or a surgeon with no formal training to get breast surgery. They would make this vital decision just to save a few dollars which I find wrong on so many levels. No one would dare go to a cheap neurosurgeon or think about buying a bargain parachute,...

Can a Plastic Surgeon Be Good at Both Facial and Body Cosmetic Surgery?

This is a question that I get asked often and the short answer is yes. It is possible not only to be competent at each of these surgeries, but to excel at them. As an experienced plastic surgeon, I do the following procedures on a regular basis: browlift, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, facelift, breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, tummy tuck, liposuction, and laser surgery. Each procedure has a learning curve and a degree of mastery over time. That is why you want a surgeon...

Breast capsulorrhaphy revisited

Capsulorrhaphy for Revisionary Breast SurgeryPaul E. Chasan, MD; and Cameron S. Francis, BSBackground Despite more than 3 million breast implant surgeries performed to date, the common sequela of implant malposition is a problem to which little attention has been paid in the literature. It can be treated predictably and relatively simply with capsulorrhaphy and mirror-image capsulotomy. Additionally, capsulorrhaphy can be used to reduce the size of the...
