A: Choosing Breast Implant Size?

Thank you for the question.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to give you good advice based on this communication only. However, in my opinion, the breast implant sizes that you mention may be too large for your frame. Of course, this will best be determined by a well experienced plastic surgeon upon direct examination.

Prior to proceeding with the surgery it will be very important to communicate your  goals with your surgeon.  In my practice I find the use of goal pictures to be very helpful.    I have found that the use of words such as  “D cup” means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful.
Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup  size may also be inaccurate.

I use  intraoperative sizers and place the patient in the upright position to evaluate breast size. Use of these sizers also allow me to select the breast implant profile (low, moderate, moderate plus, high-profile) that would most likely achieve the patient's goals. The patient's goal pictures are hanging on the wall, and allow for direct comparison.
I have found that this system is very helpful in improving the chances of achieving the patient's goals as consistently as possible.

I hope this helps.

Petite Girl Wanting Saline Implants- What Size Would Work On My Frame?

I am 103-110 lbs and 5 foot 2, 26 years old. I want saline under the muscle implants. the PS i saw told me after i showed him pictures to go with 325 CC's but i think that's too big for someone my size. I do not want to look top heavy at ALL, just perky round breasts. I am a very small A right now.

A: Best Breast Implants for “Petite Girl”?

Thank you for the question.

The first step would be to make sure the surgeon is a well experienced board-certified plastic surgeon  who can demonstrate significant experience achieving the results you are looking for.

Debating 286cc Vs 304cc Natrelle Implants For my Small 101 Pound Frame.

I am 101 pounds and am 5' 6" tall. My dr and I have decided on two implant sizes the 286 or 304s. My dr said 304 would give me good cleavage and about a small C cup size which I thought I wanted, but after seeing pictures of people around my size who got 300cc I feel like that might be too big. Would I still get good cleavage and be a full B or a small C with the 286? I dont know why this small of a size difference is bothering me, but when I tryed on the sizers they did seem different to me.

A: Choosing Breast Implant Size?

Thank you for the question.

As you know  it is not possible to give you accurate advice without direct examination and a full communication of your goals. Also, as you know, the difference in volume between the 2 implants you are discussing is minimal. In other words, you will probably do well with either choice.

Generally speaking, the most common regret after breast augmentation surgery ( in regards to breast size) is  “I wish I was bigger”.

I would suggest that you communicate your goals clearly with your plastic surgeon ( I prefer the use of goal pictures);  ask him/her to do his/her best to achieve those goals  after evaluating the intraoperative look with temporary sizers.

Best wishes.
