Botox to the Glabella Caused Under Eye Bags, Is This Normal? What Can I Do? (photo)

I had 8 units of Botox to the upper forehead a week ago. I went back because a still had a few lines above my brows. The doctor said i needed to have my glabella done to support the forehead. So she injected 8 units into the glabella. The next morning my eyes were swollen and I have HUGE bags under my eyes, that were NEVER there before. This was my very first botox experience and I'm worried sick that these bags won't go away. Is this common, is there anything I can do?

A: Botox in the the Glabella

This is not a typical occurrence with Botox to this area.  As other panel members have mentioned, it is possible that it is swelling.  I recommend that you see your injector for an evaluation.

Which Laser Hair Removal is Best Use for Light to Medium Golden Asian Skin with Black Hair?

The target area is upper lip and underarm. Light sheer diode or Gentlelase Alexandrite? Thank you

A: Which Laser for Asian Hair?

Hi Latte.   We see that you do not really need our help!   You have identified 2 excellent lasers for your skin and hair type.

Although the Yag laser that was suggested works well for darker skin types and very coarse hair, it will not work well for you.  The Lumenis Lightsheer and Gentlelase Alex are both great options.

The Alexandrite lasers will have a slightly higher incidence of side effect like blisters, but can also help you finish your program in 1 or 2 less treatments.  If safety is your highest priority, go with the Diode.  If less treatments is your priority, then the Alex might be better.  Either way, choose a practitioner that is very experienced with your skin type.  Good luck.

Is It a Good Idea to Get Lipo Before Marriage and Having Children?

I am 23 years old, I have never been married nor I have children. Do you recomend having a liposuction before marriage and having children. Will in the future affect me having children?

A: Liposuction before Having Children

I always recommend to my female patients that they have liposuction before pregnancy while your skin's elasticity is at it's best. After pregnancy your results may not be as optimal as before due to your skin's compromised laxity. It will not affect your ability to have children in the future.
