Facial fat transfer 5 months ago. Cheeks are now disproportionate to my face. Large and protrude out too much. The lower area of my face , around the jaw and chin now has a rounded look. What are my options to have this reversed? What are the risks associated with having this reversed ?
I am curious to know hat the average amount of fat is used for a full face fat transfer and where I the best place to harvest the fat from? Also how do you determine when a face has been overfilled
I had a fat transfer to my face and way to much fat was put in. I did this 8 months ago. I was filled with so much fat to the middle of my cheeks all the way down to my jaw line and chin area. I had a slim sculpted face before and now my face is very round and uneven. I lost my thin sculpted face. I'm 5'2 & 103 lbs & don't want to gain weight because my face is so fat and round from the fat transfer. Is there any plastic surgeon out there that can and will remove the fat that was put in my face?
Hello! I got fat transfer to my cheeks and under eyes exactly a month ago today and my cheeks of healed well but after the swelling have one down I'm starting to see a very baggy and overfilled under eye. I attached a picture of how it looked when I was all swollen up. I am now aware that is not recommended to do fat under the eyes so I'm hoping for solutions, is it possible to fill the rest of my cheek up to conceal the bags? I would like a more fuller look anyways.
I have now seen two different doctors say that if the fat grafting to the face was done over two years ago, it is too late for any sort of removal. Is that true? If so, I'm screwed because mine was done over three years ago. I just haven't had the money yet to fix it. The fat I need removed is in my cheeks, nasal folds and above my upper lip. Is it really too late for me because this much time as passed?
I had fat transfer 4 days ago, and my face looks so disoriented and ugly! My doctor suggested that she'll add much fat because most of the fat will dissolve so she wants 25%of the fat to remain. My question is; is it normal to look weird and not like myself 4 days after surgery?
A lot of doctors have been responding to patient questions with wait 3-6 months for the final result. I have seen this response re: worries of being overfilled & of losing all of the grafted fat. My question is, besides the decrease in swelling & the reabsorption of dead fat, what happens to the actual fat cells that survive? Does gaining a blood supply do anything other than maintain? Do they become more plump/grow by 6 months? Do they shrink? Stay the same? There isn't a lot of info on this.
I'm 3 and a half months past a fat transfer surgery to the face, unfortunately it seems that it was botched. There a 2 areas that are unnaturally overfilled, giving my cheek an uneven appearance and whole face asymmetrical. They feel a little hard to the touch also. Is there anything I can do to get rid of this fat? Whether massage at home or some surgery? Also will removal lead to further side effects?
