I am 3 month PO deep plane FL and neck. Having a hard recovery. The entire surgical field itches,burns and feels tight. These sensations move around but are constant. My surgeon said he has never had a post op patient with such severe symptoms! I need advice...is this truly abnormal at 3 mos PO? I'm worried this is all permanent!
Hello, Im 3 months after facelifting and Im founding my jawline much bigger around the chin than it was - the tickness is running along the jawline both side. When I squeeze it between the fingers, I can feel tick, hard-ish tissue which is burning a little bit when I squeeze. My docto said its a fibrosis and it will goes away after a few months - the thing is there is no difference at all, it looks/feels same all the time and I look like Ken, with this squared-ish jawline.
I had an R facelift 88 days ago and these are todays photos. The scars are red and puckered and my ears are still painful. My surgeon says this is normal. He said it was because this is my 2nd facelift. He also told me to go and purchase some scar cream! Do you agree?
I had a face/ neck lift and lower eye surgery done 3 months ago and my recovery has been ok but i only see a slight improvement, i haves oken to my surgeon who says i will need a mid facelift, i feel very upset with this response, my surgeon said that he took 3 cm of skin and that is the max he could take in one operation. I now have a stitch poking through the side of my face, it feels metal not like the stitches i had to remove myself which were very soft. Any advise, much appreciated
I've been quite active on this site thoughout my facelift tecovery since having my surgery 12 weeks ago, but have yet to post. I've uploaded a picture from 4 days after surgery of an infection that developed and took weeks to heal. My question to the community is has anyone else had or seen this type of skin infection? I have not been able to find anyone. 12 weeks post it's healed, however has left behind a couple of raised scars. My PS is working hard to make sure that all looks great in this end.
My Absorbable sutures in neck and under ears are not absorbed after 3 months. They are Causing sharp poking pain when touched and showing just under the skin. The PS surgeon i used said he can do nothing about this. Please any advice is appreciated. Can I go to any gp clinic and ask to have them cut out. They seem like I have them for life now. Sad
I an 65 and had a face lift 3 months ago. I now have bag at edge of my mouth and on my chin that I didnt have before. I also have swelling on chin that has never left.The plastic surgeon suggest cutting that little piece out along the naso labial fold. He may have to go a little farther down than that. I am concerned about scarring. I am also starting to get a loose pocket on the other side.I hate to have to do fillers forever. I got the facelift so I wouldnt have to do that. What can I do?
I am 2.5 months out from a full face lift. One of my ear lobes is enlarged still. My doctors says it should go back to its normal size eventually. If it does not, is there a treatment for shrinkage ? I can't wear earrings because it calls attention to the different sizes. Thanking you in advance for your advice.
