I had upper & lower bleph done 18 months ago. Am happy w/ lower as my bags are gone (am 49 years old & they were aging me more). I am very unhappy w/ the results of my upper as i have a visible indented scar that extends beyod the eyelid crease. In almost all lighting, the scar is visible as it extends approx 1/4 inch &is quite wide. On the other side , it is smaller but is white.Even make-up cannot hide these scars. I feel that people look at them instead of giving me eye contact. I have to style my hair to conceal these scars. I usually pull my hair back or away from my face but now they must be like curtains hiding these scars. Please advise if anything can be done to lessen the scars. Tx
I had blepharoplasty 1.5 years ago. Its left me with a thick lumpy scar and did not address my right eyebrow ptosis that is now worse. What happened to form such a scar and what is best to move forward, revision and brow lift or just brow lift?
Hi I had lower bleph 8 months ago I think my lower incision wound was stitched incorrectly and caused a skin bulge which wrinkle lines coming from the bunched scar into my under eye skin , is it likely that this will flatten . The scar is also quite bad
It's been over a year since I had an upper bleph. And I am so discouraged. I consulted with a scar massage expert and am now working to undo the damage I created from that. This explains why my scars are visible. However my question is this...What was there before the scar massage is a gap on one of my inner corners. It is not there on the other eye. Anything I can do to fix this?
Hello, I am a 38-year-old female, Iv had a scar under my eye since i was about 4. The scar is due to a dog bite. Its been bothering me ever since. Now with age it is starting to sag and show even more now then ever. The nature of hollowness that starts to occur with age and mild sagging of the skin is whats making it very visible. I was hoping a simple fix such as blepharoplasty and some fat grafting would do the trick But Ive been told by Dr. Christopher Zoumalan that it can not be fixed.
Im 4 weeks post-op & my surgeon suggested using any OTC scar cream/gel. However, the package instructions say to avoid the eye area. Im wondering what other surgeons suggest. Also, my eyes feel dry + tight (like pinching) in the corners + one corner has some slight swelling. Thanks so much!
I'm 5 mos post op and not only do I have extreme redness and broken capillaries, but the PS cut my right incision much higher than my eye crease, so the scar is visible and has a permanent blueish hue along the incision scar. My right eyelid also droops now and an ophthalmologist confirmed Ptosis. My PS claims he hasn't ever had an issue w broken capillaries and says my eyes weren't symmetrical prior. To that I say, true, but they both opened an I didn't have red eyelids and scars. Advice?
