A Board-certified, Ivy League-educated oculoplastic surgeon advised that he does not do fat pad repositioning for any patients. Period. He excises the fat pads, and if residual deficits remain, the patient can receive hyaluronic acid fillers. Can I please ask why, in 2024, a surgeon would be against repositioning? Is there still a body of evidence to suggest that it has a high complication rate?
I am 50 years old getting a lower facelift and want to address the lower eyes . I got one doctor saying a lower blethoplasty with fat reposition and another recommending periorbital fat injections. Im worried about fat injections but I dont see where a blethoplasty would works because I dont see fat pads to reposition on me. at the same time. What would be your recommendations
Hello, My under eye fat pads have started bulging out in the last two years and it bothers me. Based on these photos, am I a candidate for lower blepharoplasty, or is it not yet indicated? If I am not a candidate would fillers be an option? Thank you
How can I enhance it w/my fat pads being like this? My eyebags are definitely genetic. My father has it. I want to enhance my lower lid muscle (ocularis). What is the best way that is not using surgery? Can enhancing it diminish the puffiness of my lower eyebag? Can I reposition my fat pad to make my ocularis plumper? Is it puffiness or hollowness?
When I smile or laugh, my under eye pads are very uneven (very prominent under my right eye and Id like it to match my left), and Im wondering the best cosmetic procedure to correct this? Is Botox sufficient or would lower bleph fat repositioning be the best (or something else)? See photos when I have no expression, when I slightly smile, and when I smile intently.
I had lower blepharoplasty six months ago. After my recovery I noticed that I ended up with these terrible under eye discoloration I did not have before. My doctor said that he didnt remove the fat pad but rather repositioned. I really regret the procedure and sincerely feel I look worse now. Since the fat pads were only repositioned is it possible to reverse the procedure? If so, would that resolve the problem. The first pic is before lower blepharoplasty and the second is post recovery.
I'm 46. Upper bleph. Day 16. I feel I look the same. The top of my lid touches my eye lashes. I'm super unhappy. Dr. says I'm swollen. Even if, the skin will still remain? Did he take fat pads out? Was he suppose to? Will my skin lift up more? What should I do. Feels sore still. Numb and heavy.
Hello Doctors, I have been battling with this bag under my right eye since I was about 21. That's when it started becoming more prominent. I am now 30, and the fat pad seems to have gotten worse. Upon feeling it with my index finger, I do indeed feel little pieces of fat. They are soft & squishy (sorry) to the touch. The left eye has very little fat. What is my best option here? I am so self-conscious about it. People ask me if I'm tired, or if I got into a fight! Please help me. Thanks.
My procedure was bilateral levator advancements, with lateral canthoplasty, quad cosmetic blepharoplasty with fat pad repositioning, periocular CO2 laser, filler redistribution. Two weeks ago I got steroid shots to improve the scar tissues and eyelid retraction. Since the surgery I use eyedrops and I massage eyelids 4-5 min every day. Is there any hope my eyes close completely? How about eyelid retractions? My eyes doesn't look even and I am not happy with the result. I appreciate any advice.
