I had a botched lower blepharoplasty on January 5th. The surgeon is offering to correct the retraction with a canthopexy. Do you believe this will resolve the issue of retracted, round, pulled down, bulging eyes or do you think I will need a skin graft?
6.5 months ago I had surgery on the lower eyelid: muscle shortening, fat removed medially and centrally and redistributed, cantopexy on the temple. In the surgical report it says cantopexy periosteum, in the information sheet it says muscular+periosteum. Have scleral show, ptosis, still swollen. Massaged lower parts since 2 weeks post-op, the eyelids have become sensitive and warm. After chewing, the temple pulls strongly and bulges like a walnut. Can you say something about my case? Thank you!
Hello. 2 weeks ago I had surgery to correct lower eyelid retraction with hard palate graft and tarsal strip After the surgery my eyes became very narrow and small. I had naturally large round eyes and even after the eyelid retraction appeared my eyes looked cute but now I feel very unattractive. Now my eyes are squinted all the time and give me an angry look even when I smile Is it possible to fix this or will it get better after few months?

Gender: Male Age: 19 Height: 6'3 Weight: 185lbs Additional questions (please answer if possible) 1. What actually causes lateral canthal dystopia? 2. What might this surgery cost? 3. Are there any non-surgical alternatives? 4. Is this surgery permanent?
I am 49 years old. My right upper eyelid does not have the proper support provided by the fatty tissue due to a trauma 20 years ago. As I am aging it is getting worse and I lost my self confidence because even with makeup I cannot make it less visible. Can this condition be fixed by surgery permanently? Thank you for answering my question.
2013, 19 years old, I was a sober passenger in a car accident and did not have anyone have my back. I crushed my L orbital bone, cheekbone and L side of nose (as well as back, leg, its a been a process and I didnt get compensated). I had my first surgery with Dr. Amoils in Valencia, CA and then he referred me to Dr. Bernstien in Pasadena, CA who did multiple surgeries to fix but made it worse each time. He clipped the corner of my eye, removed lashes, and my eye is so contracted and tight
Hello. I have to have lower eyelid retraction / entropion reconstructive surgery due to a messed up lower blepharoplasty. I do not want to go through a repair more than once! One of the surgeons I am considering uses Enduragen for grafting for tissue shaping the eyelid. I find this calming compared to the roof of my mouth since I have to do 2 eyelids and I have heard the roof of mouth is very very painful and then you have a hole. Please advise what is best for the tissue?
After lower blepharoplasty with canthopexy, I noticed that my eyes became round and the lower eyelid drooped and scars formed under the eyes. My eyes are dry all the time and I suspect that this is lower eyelid retraction. It has been 6 months since the previous operation. When can I make repair and how is this being done?
I recently had lower blepharoplasty with a Double board certified Plastic Surgeon (mistake #1). Surgeon ruined my eyes. Now I have lower lid retraction and entropion and my eyes look so different than before In addition I have blurry vision and lashes scratching my lower left eye. I have heard that these revision surgeries can be just as bad as the original surgery. My surgeon did give me 4 5-FU injections over the course of my 6 months, but it did not make a difference. HELP!
