Rhinoplasty and Nose Shaping
I have spent my entire career working on all issues related to the nose, so I am keenly aware of issues related to the nasal structure and how the shape of the nose can either facilitate or adversely affect nasal function. Because of this, I have been recognized both locally and nationally as a top rhinoplasty surgeon. Beyond the 150 aesthetic rhinoplasty surgeries I perform each year, I perform an additional 250 nasal reconstructive surgeries (including nasal valve repair, cancer reconstruction, and repair of nasal trauma).
I practice in a culturally diverse area and perform rhinoplasty on patients of all ethnic backgrounds, so I understand the nuances and variation in nasal anatomy and cultural desires expressed by individuals with ethnic diversity. Patients come to our Maryland practice from all over the country for rhinoplasty surgery. Fillers and Other Injectables
As we age, our skin tissue loses elasticity and volume. Parts of our face that once looked healthy and full (such as our cheeks) to hollow out and appear less youthful. Dermal fillers such Restylane, Radiesse, and Juvéderm provide a nonsurgical solution. At my Washington, D.C. area practice, I use these dermal filler injections to combat fine lines, sagging skin, and a loss of facial volume. One option I offer is fat injections for facial rejuvenation. Excess fat is harvested from fat-rich areas of your body, such as the abdomen or thighs via liposuction. Because the harvested fat contains growth factors—cells with the potential to become a collagen-producing fibroblast—fat injections to the face can actually reverse the signs of aging, leading to the creation of cells that create new collagen in the skin and subcutaneous tissue.

The founder and medical director of Renu by Dr. Schoenfeld in Chevy Chase, Maryland, he is double board certified in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Schoenfeld has expertise in a wide range of facial plastic surgery procedures, including rhinoplasty, facelifts, neck lifts, and brow lifts, as well as nonsurgical facial rejuvenation treatments, from Botox and dermal fillers to laser resurfacing and nonsurgical facelifts. After earning his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, Dr. Schoenfeld completed his residency at the prestigious Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He then served 10 years in the U.S Army, including five in the 82nd Airborne Division as Chief of the Department of Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

He also volunteers with Project Access, treating underserved patients in Maryland, and with the Finn Foundation, traveling to Guatemala to perform cleft lip, cleft palate, and other facial reconstructive procedures on children who would otherwise have no access to care.
