Post-Pregnancy Procedures
Becoming a mother is deeply rewarding, and pregnancy itself can have its magical moments. Still, it can leave a lasting toll on your body. The patients who come to me for a mommy makeover at the Plastic Surgery Center of Hampton Roads in Newport News or Williamsburg, Virginia often want to address loose skin and excess fat on the abdomen, as well as sagging breasts. A mommy makeover addresses all of these common concerns at the same time via a tummy tuck and breast augmentation and/or a breast lift. Some patients also have liposuction, to fully contour the midsection. Combining these surgeries into a single operation reduces overall recovery time and provides patients with a true full-body transformation.

Abdominoplasty
Sagging or excess skin can make us feel uncomfortable in our own bodies, on both a physical and emotional level. I perform a range of skin tightening procedures at my Virginia office (including BodyTite, a nonsurgical option), but tummy tuck surgery (abdominoplasty) is among my favorites because the results can be transformative. Most of my tummy tuck patients have experienced pregnancy or significant weight loss, which can leave stretched skin and even separated muscles. A tummy tuck removes this excess skin while tightening the muscles, creating a taut, toned abdomen. In severe cases of drooping skin around the abdomen, I can also perform a panniculectomy, to remove excess skin that hangs from the lower abdomen.
