Dr. Nicholas Wingate hails from Chester County, Pennsylvania, where he spent his formative years. He earned a B.A. in Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University and pursued his medical education at the Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, where he obtained his doctorate of medicine. During his medical school journey, Dr. Wingate was recognized with the Gold Humanism Honor Society Award (GHHS), a national accolade bestowed upon medical professionals who exemplify the "human connection in healthcare," as nominated by peers and faculty members.
Following medical school, Dr. Wingate secured a coveted spot in the prestigious integrated residency program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Strong Memorial Hospital. During his residency, he received the resident research award and served as Chief Resident. Currently, Dr. Wingate is board-eligible and in pursuit of candidacy for the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He joined Legacy Plastic Surgery in 2021.
Beyond his medical pursuits, Dr. Wingate cherishes quality time spent with his wife and two children. They explore various hobbies together, including skiing, wakeboarding, golfing, and fishing.
