Dr. Elbert is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, the American Medical Association, & the Santa Clara County Medical Society. He has been an Advanced Allergan Trainer & Instructor for over 15 years, training over 500 doctors & providers all throughout the state of CA. Dr. Elbert's biggest passion in the field of facial plastic surgery is the cycle of learning & teaching, as he strongly believes the best teachers are the best learners. Throughout 17 years, Dr. Elbert has consistently mentored high school & college students with a passion for surgery & held externships for medical assistants. For this reason, Dr. Elbert continues to partake in medical research to always have the most up-to-date knowledge of the field to better educate his audience. Most importantly, he feels he learns the most from his daily interactions with his patients, & becomes a better doctor because of it.
