He completed his undergraduate studies at The Pennsylvania State University obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Biology. His Medical Degree is from Drexel University School of Medicine (formally Hahnemann University School of Medicine). He completed a rigorous 5 year General Surgery residency training program at The Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, which was affiliated with The University of Pennsylvania’s Hospital known as HUP. While at The Graduate Hospital he Served as Administrative Chief Resident in his final year and was named Best Teaching Resident 2 years in a row. This was followed by Plastic Surgery Residency at University of Massachusetts Hospital (UMASS).
Dr. Ko is certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) and the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) Maintenance of Certification. Which is a maintenance program that cycles every 7-10 years. He is also a member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the New Jersey Society of Plastic Surgeons (NJSPS).
