I needed a crown on my front tooth due to darkening from a previous root canal. I was advised to put a veneer on my other front tooth for aesthetic reasons. After getting my procedure done 3 weeks ago, I am not entirely happy with the shade. I expressed concern to my dentist and she said it was perfectly fine. I also signed a waiver saying i was satisfied. My dentist dismissed how I felt and I am still not satisfied with the shade of my two front teeth and don't know what to do.
I was unhappy with my teeth, as they got stained easily and I wanted a whiter, bigger smile to feel more confident. I had 2 aims, whiter + bigger smile. The temporaries didn't look right but I didn't get to see the final adjustments bf the day of cementing, and bc of novocaine my face was swollen. Now they are done, I feel terrible. I feel they don't suit my face, are way too long (like dentures) and make me look older. I didn't see it bc of swelling at cementing appt. What do you recommend?
Hi, I got a crown earlier this year in February (was basically pressured into it by a dentist) - they did not show me the crown and just cemented it on and I am soooo unhappy. It has made me really self conscious and sad. I reached out to a cosmetic dentist who can redo it but they cant promise me it will be perfect. The tooth only ever looks good in regular light and sunlight, but if its directly into the light it looks horrible and fake - so it looks bad in flash photos. Im so sad over this
I had 4 crowns and 2 veneers put on my front top teeth . I'm not happy with the shape and angle of the front 2. I feel like proportions on all of them are off. One of the canine veneers looks round and the surface is as wide as the front teeth. I love my Dentist. I'm not happy with the end result. I've spent over 25000 on alignment , implants and now crowns. I want to be happy with the result. Am I being picky? Should I just leave it alone?
Let me begin by saying that I really like my dentist and his staff. Recently, however, I had work done that makes me feel really self conscious, and doesnt fit quite right. The crowns on my two front teeth are too long and protrude forward. I now have a minor lisp. Im also concerned that metal is showing at the gum line and wont be covered by my gums. What are my options? How do I best voice my concerns with my dentist without offending him? Thanks in advance for any insight you may have.
I just got the permanent crown today on my front bottom tooth and it feels pretty bulky (mainly in the back, the front part looks and feels fine). Dentist said that its supposed to be that way because the tooth is so small and the crown protects it, but the temporary crown felt smaller than this. If anything, I expected the permanent crown to feel more natural. Is this really normal or can I actually get a crown that feels more like how my tooth did?
I got these crowns today. They have no dimension and my natural teeth are a lot more translucent. They are also sitting too far forward. I selected the color with the dentist and it matched but on the crowns it doesnt. I have another appointment to discuss what to do about it. Because a lab made them I am concerned that if I have the lab redo them it will be the same result. They said I can ask for specific things from the lab. What should I specifically ask for/should I just go somewhere else?
Crowns were put on 3 weeks ago. I expressed concerns before cementing but he reassured me that I just needed time to adjust. I called the next day and told them I am very unhappy with the crowns. Dentist made adjustments without my consent. He was rude and disrespectful. Can I try and pursue a refund? Sue? Go through insurance? Redo? How likely will Delta Dental award the money back? I feel like I am left with no other choice to redo now since he made alterations that I did not consent to.
I have REALLY bad teeth so got crowns on the front 8 teeth for the cosmetic aspect. I couldn't believe how amazing my temporaries looked but after the crowns were placed, I'm so upset. I feel like they stick out SO MUCH and look terrible. I want my temporaries back! Can they be flattened to match the shape of my original teeth? I feel stupid even complaining about this because of my before picture but I seriously hate how they look but I can't afford to pay another 8k to have them redone.
I had an impacted canine tooth, oral surgery to attach a chain to it + orthodontia. After tugging for a year, decided to have the tooth removed and get an implant. I just had the crown placed and I'm not happy with how short the tooth is- it looks odd The dentist thinks I may have to compromise because the space left behind after removing the retained baby tooth was large. He thinks lengthening the implant crown would affect how I bite down. I've been through so much and just want it right
