I have to anterior crowns on my upper centrals, that I got 15 years ago. It was perfect until about a month ago, then it started to shift, the 11 is rotating, and is now mesially displaced. What can be done? Ortho treatment?
I had worn braces and had got teeth aligned. But after few years my midline shifted to one side and there is also a small gap. I do not want to go for braces again. What are my options, crowns or veneers?
Had a crown and root canal done several years ago. The crown broke so I got a new one 3 months ago. Everything was fine, no pain, until this weekend then all of the sudden I have extreme pain when biting down and the gums around it are very sensitive. Is it possible the crown can shift or raise up a bit throwing off the bite? Why would it be fine for 3 months then all the sudden start to hurt? How can a tooth that has had a root canal already hurt? Also hurts if I touch it with my finger.
35 years ago I had a root canal (tooth #12) fail after placement of a post and crown and had a subsequent apisectomy that was successful. 6 months ago, tooth #17 was filed to level high spots. This changed my bite, and tooth #12 shifted, loosening from the gum. There was quite a bit of bleeding at the time. My dentist said it's OK. I get a bad taste in my mouth suggesting to me that this is not a healthy situation. I'm getting a second opinion, but I'd like to have some idea of possible options. Thanks.
I had final crown fitted 2 weeks ago 3 x front crowns, at the final crown appointment impressions were taken for a retainer. My teeth feel and look like they have moved- I go in for a retainer in 3 days will my teeth fit back into place after wearing my retainer for a few days.
