Cosmelan + Face Q&A

Ive had melasma on my forehead for years but recently have also seen a spread of these white patches. Im noticing them in smaller quantities in other areas of my face and neck as well, but theyre most prominent on my forehead. Is this a specific type of melasma? Or could this be tinea versicolor?

Im still red & burning my face color not matched with my neck my original color of face return or not? How to prevent redness & burning?

I have brown skin. I had cosmelan treatment for an old scar i got years ago from post laser treatment sun exposure. The scar got removed but then I had strong sun reaction and now both skin and neck have darkened. It seems superficial as it goes away sometimes with sunscreen use. How to remove it permanently? I am talking to a dermatologist and she says I should stay away from more surgeries as my skin gives strong reactions to it. But i need results! The creams she gives aren't doing much.

Is Cosmelan 2 a whole mask or spot treatment? I just had Cosmelan 1 applied two days ago. Not sure how people can go in public with the orange face is Cosmelan 2.

5 days after my cosmelan peel I have light patches. I don't know if I should continue use of cosmelan 2. I use a moisturizing spf50+ and aqueous cream when I feel my face is dry. My face feels smooth. I didn't use the hydra-k factor cream because I was reacting to it. I'm loving the texture but not the color. I am still peeling in some areas of my face. Is this normal discoloration/hypopigmentation normal? Do I discontinue use?

My body colour is vry fair.. My face was 3 shades darker... So doctor advised me fr cosmelan treatment.. bt nw my face has become even more darker n red... A contrast can be seen in complexion between the area where peel ws applied and not applied... Peeling Is almost stopped. I hve dne treatment 4 daz back... Wt 2 d0 nw?? M scared...
