Hi! I had a consultation with a maxillo surgeon because i thought the asymmetry was due to the jaw. He did a 3d scan that revealed my jaw was symmetrical. He told me the asymmetry was due to soft tissue. Can liposuction help to treat the asymmetry? I dont want fillers to make the other side bigger.
Hi, i had chin lipo & buccal fat removal 6 months ago, May 2023. I have seen the consultant twice since and he has reasured me that i still have inflammation and its not fibrosis or fat that i have under my chin. It is now looking abit saggy even, the skin isnt saggy but my chin hangs and is not symetrical. I have pinched parts of my chin to show the thickness in pics. I also have b4 pics. Im 144lb, no weight gain since op. Massage daily, im not sure it is all inflammation. What should i do?
I am not overweight but am really bothered by how asymmetrical the underneath of my chin fat is. I have a completely different shape on either side. I have read maybe it's a problem with the glands? I have been overweight before and had a very round face so this is the first Time I am noticing it. What treatment can I get???? Help! I am only 32. I can feel my jawline on one side and not the other!
I have never had a defined jawline, but one side of my face is more saggy/ fat than the other and it really bothers me. I am unsure of the best procedure or treatment. My dermatologist recommended EVOKE treatment. I and am wary of liposuction or fat destroying treatments because I worry about the lost volume making my chin even more saggy and droopy. Any suggestions or thoughts on treatment?! I dont know what to trust and am scared of making it worse. Please help!
Hello, I am 2 years post facelift and chin liposuction. I have unevenness or asymmetry under the right side of my chin. It sort of looks like a lump or a left over fat pocket. I am worried that this could be also skin. This asymmetry was present from the first month post op. Unfortunately my plastic surgeon retired 4 months after I had this suregry so I have no one to go back to. Can you please give your opinion on what you think this it is?
I have a really asymmetrical jawline and it destroys my confidence. What I would call my better looking side is where my jawline is smaller and doesn't stick out as much because it is sharper/more defined looking whereas the other side of my jaw is more rounded and looks bigger which makes my face look fatter on that side. Would liposuction fix this as I would like the bigger side to be made smaller to match the other half and I do not want to get fillers/implants to make the smaller side bigger
Ive had two surgeries already to reduce just the chin corners (no jaw) as it was originally very square. Both the surgeons told me there may still be asymmetry afterwards because it depends on the overlying tissues. So Im pretty sure the bone underneath is symmetrical by now. I know everyone has asymmetry but the tissues on the left make it look like the tip of my chin is on the far left and it bothers me. I have an on-camera job and its pretty noticeable. What can be done?
Hello, I am hoping for guidance regarding the lack of definition in my lower face. About 15 years ago (I am currently 31 years old), I had both upper and lower jaw surgery to correct a severe jaw/gum growth issue. Over the years since, I have been bothered by the lack of definition in my jawline and under my chin causing an asymmetrical look to the area. The fat under my chin seems to bulge out on the left side, and it seems as though there is zero definition between my face and my neck.
Please see the pictures regarding my lower face asymmetry. My chin seems to have too much fat on my left side (right side as shown in picture) giving a crooked chin appearance. I also have more cheek/jaw fat on that same left side causing jawline asymmetry. When I hold back some of the fat as shown in the picture or lift my skin on my jawline it does improve. However, with age it seems to get worse and worse. What can be done to permanently fix this?
