Hello I got chin implant (mouth incision) 2 weeks ago and I know I want it out. (Yes even if it deswells) My surgeon told me that I need to wait till the tissues are fully healed, so 6 months But every surgeon on here says you can get it out at any point and sooner is better for the skin not to stretch. Im getting a second opinion, but my concern is, if I do have the option to take it out now, are there high risks for tissue, nerve or anything ? I dont mind if incision is under the chin
I had Lipo under my chin and a chin implant placed under my chin about 2 weeks and 5 days ago. After looking at photos in here I feel like my swelling should be less, my incision healed more, and Im scared of the dents in my chin. Can anyone give me some input? My next appointment with my PS isnt for another week plus a few days. Ive been following all the rules given by my PS. Im just at a loss if this is not going well and I should call my Dr sooner.
I had a chin augmentation 16 days ago and Im concerned about the pain that I still feel in my chin. On the bottom left side of my chin there is a small bump where the pain is localized when I open my mouth to eat. I cant see a rash and dont have any other symptoms. I will be following up with my doctor next week, but in the meantime Im wondering if I should be concerned about having this kind of localized pain and a hard time eating two weeks post op?
I had a chin implant put in 2 weeks ago along with some neck lipo to help increase the length of my chin. I love the results I'm just concerned about my smile. My smile looks really weird and it's almost like my bottom left lip caves when I smile fully. My teeth don't show as much as they used to. My bottom left lip is still numb so I'm not sure if that's also contributing to my weird smile. I guess I'm just nervous I won't get my smile back.
I got a chin and cheek implants about 2 weeks ago. Ive come down with a really bad virus and have been throwing up non-stop. When I throw up I feel so much pressure in my face and the implants feel sore. Can the pressure from throwing up displace the implants in anybway? They are not screwed in. Also can they become damaged by this?
Im afraid my chin implant is too big and pointy for my face. I had a revision rhinoplasty and chin implant at the same time. Although Im very satisfied with my nose now, I feel my chin is a bit much, especially when I smile. I know I will hear that there is still swelling but how much of it will really go down? I really dont want to have another surgery to fix it but I dont want it to look so unnatural. Input pleases.
I'm 2 weeks postop of my chin implant & I was picking at my scab because it seemed lumpy, then this clear string came from underneath my skin & I don't know whether to cut it or leave it alone but it's noticeable & my doctors office is closed over the weekend. I have work tomorrow & would prefer not to walk around with a string attached lol
I had a small central chin implant in for 4 weeks, got it removed, I'm now 12 days post-op. I still see the shape of the implant and my chin area feels squishy. I know I'm still probably swollen, but how long will it take the tissue where the chin implant was shrink back down. I read that the empty capsule can give you more augmentation and I'm worried that is the shape that I am seeing and I'm worried my chin wont look the same as it was pre-op
I had a medium chin implant put in a few months ago and removed it about 2 weeks ago, however my chin still has the shape of the chin implant and some augmentation and I'm wondering if this is permanent or will it subside and how long if so? Really would like my chin to go back to the same size and shape it originally was.
Hi, I had rhinoplasty with a chin implant 13 days ago. While everything is healing nicely, I am still very numb in my bottom lip. I know that numbness is caused by the stretching of the nerves along the jaw and can last 2-3 weeks up to several months. The numbness is making it very difficult to talk and smile. I am still wearing the chin strap at night as per my doctor's recommendation. What can I do to help the numbness go away? Are there massages or stretches I can do to help speed up the process?
