I had a 20% TCA Peel done on 3 days ago. I was instructed not to use any type of moisturizer on it until I was done peeling. This is contrary to everything I've read online. My question is, should I be moisturizing or using Aquaphor on my skin? I was told I could use Aquaphor on any sore spots. I feel like I should be putting something on it...should I be?
I am 48, fair skin with moderate melsma. I also use a CPAP for severe obstructive sleep apnea, using a full face mask. (Simplus FFM if anyone wants to know). It has a T plastic piece on the forehead and straps on the cheeks. I could switch to the nasal mask for a few days (same idea but smaller), and I cannot tolerate the nasal cushions (I think those would be the best in this case). Could I slather aquaphor and use gauze under the straps to be able to do a chemical peel?
Had chemical peel burn 2 weeks ago. I used aquaphor + hydrocortisone 1% for several days which have partially healed the burn. Now, my usual moisturizers do not sting but my skin is still slightly pink, bumpy, and irritated. At this point, are the following ingredients are okay to use: niacinamide, oils (buckthorn, rose hip), ceramide, hyaluronic acid, lanolin, copper tripeptide. In general, how do I speed up skin healing at this point? Thanks!
After peeling procedure I m facing few burns like thing on my face and redness too. Is this normal occurrence after peeling? My doc is telling it's not burn it's jus part of process. He recommended me to use Momate on affected areas. After few research on Momate I m getting too skeptic on its side effects. Can I use aquaphor on affected areas. As after research I think it's mild than Momate. I have sensitive skin. Please help me
