Our patient is a 61-year-old White female who had previously been morbidly obese and reached a highest weight of 265 lbs. Through dieting, exercise, RNY gastric bypass, and GLP-1 medications, she reached her lowest weight of 165 lbs. After this tremendous weight-loss journey, she came to Dr. Katzen to remove excess skin and reshape her body contour. She was placed under general anesthesia for a customized full-body transformation plan. Dr. Katzen performed a circumferential lower body lift to remove loose skin and tissue from the abdomen, waist, hips, lower back, buttocks, and outer thighs. This 360 body lift helped improve hanging tummy skin, lower body laxity, and waistline shape. He also performed a brachioplasty, also known as an arm lift, to remove hanging upper arm skin and create a smoother arm contour. To address loose upper torso skin, Dr. Katzen performed a torsoplasty with vertical incisions on both sides of her torso, removing excess skin from the back and sides to improve her upper body shape. As part of the same transformation, fat was grafted from other areas of her body, prepared, and transferred to her buttocks to improve buttock contour, projection, and balance. This fat transfer to the buttocks, also known as a Brazilian Butt Lift, helped refine her shape using her own tissue. Photos were taken 3 months after surgery, and our patient achieved remarkable results with a smoother, more balanced figure.
