I just wondered why areolas can look very oval, not round, differently shaped after breast reduction? Out of curiosity: shouldnt it be very easy to cut a round shape during surgery using a mold or something? Also can this oval shape change compared to one week post surgery and ten months post surgery? If so, why it that the shape can change from oval to round with time?
I'm 62 years old and had a reduction and implants added for fullness about 2 years ago. I have noticed lately that the areola skin seems thin and one of my breasts appear to be changing shape slightly, especially in the areola area. My husband loves to suck on my breasts during foreplay and I'm wondering if this could be part of the reason. Is there anything that can be done?
I am 20 years old and had a breast reduction when i was 18. I am really happy about my results, but my scars kind of bother me. I also miss having rounded breast with more shape. I wonder if i has impants, would they sit better to hide the scares underneath the breast. Im not concerned with the vertical scar, that one is not visible in bathing suits like the ones that come up around into my cleavage.
For Breast Reduction surgery, what are the differences in types of surgery? What are the differences between "Wise pattern", "anchor scar" versus "vertical" or "keyhole scar?"Can Liposuction of breast be used in conjuction with Breast Reduction surgery to reshape breasts?
I am 2 years post op of getting my breast reduction surgery covered by my insurance. Less than a month after the surgery my skin started bleeding and the surgeon diagnosed me with wound dehiscence. It was treated and closed up but after letting them settle 6 months to 1 year later I also noticed that the shape was very uneven. I am also on a weight loss journey and worried about how my breast will look after. What can be done to improve my breast appearance after I reach my of losing 20-30 lbs?
Had reduction to fix asymmetry, but still a big difference in size and shape. I also seem to have a lot of side boob. Will a revision easily fix this? Any advice and honest opinions really appreciated. I will attach my before and after photos. Clearly big improvement but still very unhappy. Unfortunately I cant afford implants as an option.
I've heard quite a lot about women only reducing by a few cup sizes. I am a UK 34HH and would love to be really small, an A or B cup. I understand that with normal breast surgery, the size of the pedicle means that it is impossible to reduce the size too much. With a free nipple graft, what prevents you reducing the breast beyond a certain point? Does the footprint of the breast remain the same after surgery? Is it ever possible to reduce the area of chest that is covered by the breast?
I am planning to have breast reduction/lift surgery in January. I have been working out consistently and I am concerned that if I lose more weight after surgery my breasts wont be as lifted.
