Im about two weeks in my recovery from a breast reduction, and I noticed that my left incision was leaking a tiny bit (the fluid was thin and yellow-ish and doesnt have any smell). After showering I noticed I had a small opening where my incisions meet, so I assume a scab must have fallen off before it was ready to and thats what caused the leaking. Right now I put a bandaid over the opening with some Neosporin to keep the area clean. Should I be doing anything else?
For a while after surgery the nipple was tonal and healing like the left one but about 2 months ago it began to get really dry. I was apply shea butter for extra moisture but that doesn't work. I called my nurse and she said to apply Neosporin but that hasn't did much either.
Since my breast reduction I've had a small opening go into a bigger opening within a week. My Dr. Said in the first pic it was normal an to use neosporin and gauze to help heal... but since then(1 week second pic) its gotten worse looking in my opinion. Will i have a huge gap scar?? What does this mean??? Also around my nipple it looks like where my stitches were are the most irritated. Will this heal ugly???
Had reduction and lift 3 weeks ago. At week 2, steri strips and end of stitches were removed. Was told to use antibacterial soap (which has fragrance and is not good for my skin) on the incisions. All of a sudden in this week 3, I see yellow/greenish area on T part and a lil on areola (both left breast). PS nurse assures me no prob and I have an appt Monday. As a vegan and never having wound issues, should I be concerned? Often times nurses/docs blow us off then an issue gets worse. Help!
(4 weeks PO) & isnt responding to treatment. My PS thought it was yeast due to overusing Neosporin, so I started treatment on Tues. Im now 5 weeks PO & after two rounds of Diflucan & Nystatin, Im not experiencing relief. What else could this be? Its mostly on the sides, in between my breasts & above my areolas (the itchiest)! He gave me a Rx for Hydroxyzine today. First 4 photos are before treatment, last 4 are after.
I was having some issues with wound at the T intersection of my incision I saw the PA at my surgeons office and she said to put neosporin and redress the area with gauze which I have done now 3 day later it seems to be getting worse. I dont know if the neosporin is making it too moist or if I should stop putting the gauze on. The first photo was on 11/1 the second 3 days later 11/4.
I am four weeks post op bilateral breast reduction (as of Friday). When removing the scar tape yesterday, I noticed this open area at the T-incision. I don't smoke nor do I consume caffeine. I contacted my PS and following advice of Neosporin and band aid changing BID. Any other suggestions? Is it possible that driving a long distance could contribute to this? Thank you. Side note - first pic was taken yesterday and second pic today
I have been instructed by my doctor to remove my steri strips. I was advised to remove them while in the shower. I removed some of the steri strips, but found the process to hurt. I read online that baby oil and peroxide could be placed on top of the steri strips to loosen them up. I am not sure how safe this for my incisions. I also wanted to know what type of cleaning solution if any (neosporin) should be placed on the incisions to keep them from becoming infected?
How will I know if these are signs my breast are healing . The first week everything was OK 2nd week the areola skin starting peeling (another question previously asked) . Now in the 3rd week it's down to the pink meat. I are my nipples but what's next . I had tests done no bacteria found or infection and the Dr said my wounds heeled . When will the skin grow back normal and cover the bare areola? Is it healing or getting worse after breast reduction seen a new surgeon he said neosporin and fresh cured pads.
