I am 34 years old female, recently had breast reduction surgery (about 14 months ago). About 3 days ago, I noticed there is puss coming out my nipple stitches (this is supposed to be a dissolveable stitches, but few blue strings still not completely gone). I am having a constant pain around the nipples area, and there is hard lump, about pea size. My question is, is this an infection ? Or something else that are more serious ? And what should I do to treat this ?
I received a breast reduction in Columbia January 20 20 , I have been receiving severe neck and head pain only on the left side of my body since the surgery , every other day till today 3yrs! There is a small (Pea) size bump in my neck the at site of the pain that was not there before the surgery. I had a postop infection on my right breast, and was treating this before leaving the country, and the surgeon wanted to remove my implants, but I did not due to pandemic closing country. Diagnosis??
On April 29 (3 weeks post op), I woke up feeling nauseous and immediately had to make a bowel movement (twice). My breasts felt fine but, I noticed a smell that was not there. Throughout the day I was freezing but apparently the house was warm, and still nauseous with stomach pain. I waited to see if I would be fine, but the next day there is still an odor and later on I began to feel nauseous again with a headache. I also started my menstrual cycle so I dont know if it is because of that.
2yrs ago i had bilateral breast reduction A couple of days after my breast reduction my right breast got infected popping out breast tissue my surgeon at the time told me itll heal on its own that he cant sew it back up 2 years later its painful itching redness and warm in the same spot i also found a hard lumps(painful) under the breast where the scar is and where the infection was I would like to know whether i should be alarmed and what do you think will happen at the emergency room
I had breast reduction surgery 6 months ago and everything went great. I am very pleased with the outcome and the healing went well. However, two weeks ago, I noticed a hard lump under my right breast on the incision line that was very tender. I had a business conference that was a week long, so I didn't go see my doctor immediately.By the time I returned, that lump was black and blue and was the size of a gumball. It was very painful. I called my doctor and was able to get into see her this morning. She cut it open and drained it and said it was full of pus. She has sent off the "gunk" to have it examined. When I asked her what could have caused this after 6 months, she didn't have an answer.I exercise regularly and don't know if I could have caused this by lifting too much weight or if it is a fluke thing. Do you have any insight on what caused it and if it could be serious? The entire breast is now sore and painful. Thank you.
I had a breast reduction about 2 weeks.my breast have been feeling very uncomfortable and itchy theyre very red and warm to the touch. Also a section in my left breast is completely numb so are my nipples.i went in for my 1 week check up, my plastic surgeon didnt even see me, they had their assistant take me in and they said everything looks fine and that its normal for them to be like this. It doesnt really look normal to me, Im just worried that there could be an infection or something?
I had my breast reduction almost 7 weeks ago, from 42H and aiming for a C. This morning I woke up with a burning, tearing sensation under my right breast, just below the scar. I have been applying cocoa butter 3x daily per my surgeons instructions. It looks almost like new stretch marks are forming under my breast. I'm concerned this may be a sign of infection. Is this normal or should I contact my doctor?
Hello, I am currently 6 weeks post-op from a breast reduction with gummy implants. I seem to be spitting stitches and have been doing so for about 4 weeks. I have been in contact with my surgeon and he reassured me that everything is fine, and my body is just trying to get rid of stitches and that I do not show signs of infection. I am, however, very anxious as I seem to have elevated skin inside the wound. I would just like a second opinion. Thank you in advance.
