Since I already have a surgeon--who won't see me in person due to COVID-19 and he closed his office--every other plastic surgeon I called to see if they would allow an in-person visit just says no, follow up with your surgeon. I have a problem t-junction in one breast, and a very painful seroma and possible infection in the other. I am completely stumped as to how to get care at this point, and any ideas would be hugely appreciated. My surgeon isn't even offering telemedicine, god knows why.
Based on many experiences I've read on this site, it seems like it is not uncommon for an opening/wound separation to appear somewhere along incisions (especially by the t site). What causes this to occur, and when should I be concerned? More importantly, how can it be prevented?
Since my breast reduction I've had a small opening go into a bigger opening within a week. My Dr. Said in the first pic it was normal an to use neosporin and gauze to help heal... but since then(1 week second pic) its gotten worse looking in my opinion. Will i have a huge gap scar?? What does this mean??? Also around my nipple it looks like where my stitches were are the most irritated. Will this heal ugly???
Im 3.5 weeks post op. Most of the scabs are falling off. Whats left I believe is being held on by glue. This spot in my T is leaking yellow fluid, which I know can be liquified fat cells. There is no smell. I also do not have a fever and feel normal. This spot it just little tender. My PS is 2.5 hours away, so I dont want to waste a trip if its nothing. Thanks!
Since about 5 days ago when I take my sports bra off to shower, there is a bit of yellowish dried discharge where the bra sits under my right breast (new occurrence). I wash the bra between showers. Today I peeled back the steri-strips a bit & noticed a small (.5 inch) hole at the T-junction on my right breast. It is oozing white/yellowish discharge. I'm not sure if there is a hair or some sort of spitting suture next to it. I put Aquafor on it & covered with a gauze pad. Should I be concerned?
I had a breast reduction almost 4 weeks ago and this wound in the T junction is scary looking. When they took the steristrips off there was blistering underneath and they ended up having to take some stitches out that were trying to come through. I was told to put ointment on and cover. It looks like it is getting worse to me. The black spots in the wound are NOT scabs. Is it necrotic? How often do I need to change my dressings?
I had an appointment with my PS but he had to cancel. I clean it twice a day with soap and water and cover with aquaphor and a nonstick dressing. I am 12 weeks post op breast reduction, H to a small C
I had a BR exactly 4 weeks and 2 days ago. My left breast is still weeping a clear/creamy looking substance just a tiny tiny amount creating a dot on my non wired bra with the circumference of around 5-7mm so nothing major but i was just wondering if this is normal and if the T junction looks okay ?
