Had bad wound breakdown last year and had scar revision with external only sutures. They were removed a week ago and I have these spots that aren't attached properly with ooz. No internal sutures were used due to my breakdown last time. Non smoker. This appeared as soon as the suture was taken out. And is getting worse. I am putting on antibiotic cream.
I had a second breast lift and augmentation 7 and a half weeks ago. The first one was 2 years ago and I healed wonderfully. This time, 6 weeks post op I noticed one of my breast had oozing right in the middle of my vertical incision line. I've harassed my PS 's office in hysteria and they have been super awesome and helpful. Apparently, I'm spitting sutures. Why is this happening and when will it stop? When will this close?
I had a breast lift with a slight reduction on my right breast on the 1st august 17. I originally had serous fluid pouring from my right breast straight out of surgery. 3 days later this turned green. Now I have what looks like a pocket filled with yellow fliud by the t junction. I'm getting a tiny amount of yellow on my bandages straight after showering. I have had swabs taken there is no infection. I have been on antibiotics for 2 weeks. What can this be? It is not painful but it is red and swollen.
My right breast is continuing to ooze yellow fluid and is tender and red around the area. The breast itself looks fine aside from right at the incision. I went back to the doctor who said there was nothing to worry about. I'm still concerned as there is now a bump under my breast. I've had one prior augmentation and lift so do have implants already in place but just received a lift this time around.
I called the office and they stated it was fine but the fact that the amount of discharge is increasing and not decreasing is concerning me. I do have implants from a previous augmentation and lift but it was just a lift this time around. I've attached a photo of the gauze that gives an indication of the type of fluid that is coming out. Does this look like serous fluid or an infection?
I had a lollipop breast lift w/ areola reduction & implants 3 months ago. I know it takes months for scars to settle, however I am having 3 issues: 1) The scarring isn't looking as great or as round on one breast. Isn't this fixable? 2) There is a discoloration of my skin on both breasts right underneath the areolas that looks the same color as my areola. Why did this occur, and can it be fixed? 3) The incision at the bottom of my breasts keeps opening up and oozing (2nd picture). What can I do?
Hi. I am 16 days after my surgery. Is it normal to be feeling this way. My stitches got infected.. my surgeon put me on 2 antibiotics.. clindamycin and sulfamethoxazole ... last night I had bad chills and body aches... today chills subsided but restless legs are a nightmare.. my left breast is in pain. I'm a fitness instructor so I'm used to moving and haven't exercised since before the surgery. Are these normal symptoms of an infection. My left breast keeps oozing. I'm worried.
I have read many answers that say a breast lift will not be covered unless it is part of a medically necessary breast reduction, which I do not want. My 40D breasts are large and sagging (I am only 23) and I sweat profusely. The heat and sweat causes me to get a fungal rash in the under part of my breast that oozes, causes pain, and even causes tears in the skin. My bras are washed regularly but the problem persists. Could insurance cover it if my surgeon thinks it will help?
