I had my breasts done 3 years ago and have not been able to obtain cleavage because my breasts are so far apart. Even when I push them together, they will barely touch without looking deformed. I was told recently by another doctor that I could not have close cleavage due to my anatomy. However, prior to the surgery, I was able to have cleavage. Is it possible to find a surgeon who can shift the pocket more to the front to obtain cleavage? Will that risk symmastia?
I've had an awful experience from start to finish and no longer working with my surgeon. I am in tears over what I'm afraid will be my final result. My right side experienced significantly more swelling in the upper pole from the very beginning (since about two days post-op) and is my dominant side. Very athletic. The left dropped relatively quickly during 3-5 wks. It's a very nice shape and size notwithstanding the awful scarring. Not the right (your left). I've been using massage, supplements, compression band, and now K-tape.
Other than capsular contracture, what are the reasons an implant doesn't fully drop into it's pocket? I don't have capsular contracture so what other reason would cause this to happen? Doc says I may need to have a pocket revision and trying to decide if it's worth it. I had my implants redone 6 months ago and the left side didn't settle. 225 cc silicone (mentor) to 190 cc silicone (Sientra). Since I went smaller I wouldn't think the the pocket size would be a problem unless it shrunk. ??
I recently noticed that surgeons have different preferences when it comes to breast implant pocket size. Observing photos, I notice that generally the implant sits quite high post surgery and drops over over time. My friend got implants and they were never high. They looked great from day 1. Her surgeon said his patients don't need to wait for implants to drop. He mentioned that other surgeons create a larger pocket. Why would a surgeon prefer a small pocket over a large one?
My current surgeon suggested I only go to 240 moderate silicone implants with a width of 11 because he doesn't want my nipples to be too outward and my natural pocket is 12cm. I also have a deformed chest wall where my breasts will naturally slope outwards. I'm having second thoughts about spending the 9000$+ on breasts that I still won't be happy with. I need a second opinion about my breast shape. Or at least what 240cc dual plane could give me as results from all your experiences. Thanks :)
Saline implants, approx. 600cc's, under muscle. Chose saline to even out natural difference in size. Happy with size/eveness at month 1-2, now right appearing larger at month 3. Does month 3 photo show early capsular contracture? Right has always been firmer/tighter and has from day 1 sat in side pocket with noticeable bump (not a hematoma/seroma, had an U/S to rule out at Day 10). Thank you!
I'm 6 months post op and my breast implants are moving a lot, when I lay down they move to the side and it's flat from the front & you can see the implant outline. When I run they move like natural breasts which makes it uncomfortable for me (I didn't ask for natural). I had 250cc overs and I'm unhappy with the results, I have an appointment with my surgeon next month however would appreciate other surgeons advice. I am still wearing my post op bra and supportive bras throughout the day.
I've returned to weightlifting/powerlifting in the last yeat and have gained significant strength and muscle mass (165lb/5'4). I do a lot of bench press - pushups etc. Can I return to lifting fine in the future (3+months recovery). I've heard both sides from women who have implants saying absolutely yes and some who say no way. Any advice on pocket placement/profile? Ideally I would like under muscle, around 400cc, moderate gummy (he recommended a periaereola incision and I'm ok with that)
I got 350 cc HP unders, small frame,32a, 55, 1 month post op. Everyday i feel depressed looking at it very round too much on the side. Will it ever shrink in size and look more natural than this? I am considering revision 275 cc moderate/moderate plus profile. How long should i wait before revision? Will it effect the pocket going smaller from larger implant? 350 cc to 275 cc? Is it a big difference? What are the risks? Instead of gainng confidence i feel so self concious.
I'm nearly 5 months post op and my boobs are saggy and flat. I started off a b/c cup my surgeon said I did not need a lift. I had 590cc UHP corse silk surface unders. My skin does not hang over my implant but I can feel my implant at the bottom of my breast. Is my pocket to big? My skin feels nice and firm and was firm pre op but I'm not happy with how much they are now sagging and the lack of projection for UHP and lack of upper pole.
