I am starting to get in my head about my surgeon doing twilight anesthesia. He explained the process to me, and his success with it for a long time. I have the option of going under general anesthesia with an anesthesiologist if I want to. I do like the idea of not having to go through general anesthesia, but I also feel a little uneasy since twilight doesnt seem as common. Is twilight anesthesia safe? Should I be worried? Why would a surgeon prefer this method? Thank you for your help!!
Hello! Firstly, thank you very much for answering my question. I am having vaser lipo done in August under Twilight sedation and want to have breast implants done after. Doing them separately for a number of reasons. How long would I need to wait in between procedures? The lipo doctor said six months and the BA doctor said three. Thanks again
Im having a breast augmentation on April 26th. My surgeon is using twilight for sedation. However, my surgeon is the one sedating me, I will not have an Anesthesiologist.. I really dont know how to feel about it. I feel safer for an actual Anesthesiologist sedating me. Advise? Any good questions I should ask my surgeon?
My surgeon offers both: general anesthesia and twilight sedation with local anesthesia for submuscular breast augmentation (no lift). I am a RN and so I understand the benefits to both, but am leaning toward the latter as I would love to avoid GA if possible. Any experience with twilight with local and thoughts on it? My surgeon performs a lot of his augmentations this way but also offered GA if I was more comfortable with that. Thanks in advance!
I am undergoing a Breast Augmentation in October and I am flying down from the Gold Coast to Sydney. The procedure is done under twilight anaesthesia and is day surgery I am unable to stay in Sydney for as long as I want iam hoping to head home late that night either by my partner and I hiring a car and driving back to the Gold Coast or early the next day by flying. I am 25 and I have no previous medical history.Im concerned about the possible risks associated with flying so soon after surgery.
I'm super confused trying 2 get as much information as I can. So I'm getting a breast augmentation & I'm trying to do ANYTING but general anesthesia, my god I'm terrified of general anesthesia. But I did some more research & found out there's something called twilight sedation?! So like is it general anesthesia or like is it a light does of anesthesia & is it safe? & if I was under twilight sedation would I feel the pain while I'm getting my breast surgery I'm so confused? I am at the end of a viral infection which has had me coughing. That part is better. Now I believe I am getting a slight sinus infection. I want to take a dose of amoxcilliin as I'm having breast argumentation in 4 days. I cannot postpone the surgery. I am having twilight surgery. Should amoxcilliin be fine? The surgeon will also administer an antibiotic before the surgery as well.
I can feel a bit of tightness but no pain. I haven't taken any pain meds. I had them over the muscle so know there is less pain with that. Maybe I am still under the influence of the drip (twilight anaesthetic and pain relief)? Should I expect pain tomorrow and take meds just in case?
