I am a 27F with RBF. My jaw kind of goes straight across to my chin, and despite being a healthy weight, I have a double chin. But what bothers me most of all is my deep nasolabial folds and corner of mouth depressions. With a strong nose, heavy brow, and all of these elements combined, I feel as I look very masculine and unfriendly. While I know Botox is a muscle paralyzer, and wont help all my issues, would it be able to soften these deep lines?
I have always had a very round, chubby 'baby face' and I am the correct weight for my height and so, I decided 'v line Botox' in the masseter muscle would give me a more heart shaped, defined face, and less rounded. It has been 12 months and the lower half of my face is appearing even chubbier than 12 months ago, with more excess skin causing a slight double chin and an undefined jaw line... Is this caused by the Botox and will it ever go back to the way it was before when the muscle strengthens again?
Hi, I'm inquiring about what I can do to have a sharp jawline? Since I was little I felt like I had a double chin and I absolutely hate it. I got a consultation and was told I didn't have enough fat and that it is mostly skin? So I am confused on what to do? I want my double chin gone and I would like a sharp profile and no jiggle please help? What options do I have? I don't want it to get worse? Botox?
This is my third time getting botox in the masseters. Last time I had 20/25 units per side, but had waited 5 months between injections. This time I returned 3 months later and topped up with 10/15 units. My face has become far too thin in that area to support my cheeks/skin. I have lost all definition in my jaw it and has given me more of a double chin. Will this resolve in time as the muscle regains bulk? Or can this lead to loosening of the skin? I am 25 and have not had any weight changes.
Hi! I have always hated my square jaw line, and always thought that it was simply my facial shape. However, upon reading about how overdevelopment of the masseter muscle causes this shape, I am curious if I would be a good candidate for botox masster reduction. Can it have an effect on double chin due to lessened muscle making it appear more dominant? Also, what are the chances of adverse side effects of have the reduction? Thank you in advance for advise/info!
I have a recessed chin (and TMJ). Attached are photos of me with a closed mouth and another where I'm jutting my jaw forward so my teeth are on top of each other (no overbite). I need to find a plastic surgeon but don't know if I should get botox in the jaw or filler in my chin? How can this best be corrected? Will botox slide my jaw forward to ease the double chin and proportion my profile? Or do I need an an orthodontist? Is the jaw asymmetry potentially from overactive muscle on one side?
