I had a brachioplasty 5 weeks ago. I know there is still swelling. The underneath of my arms still shake when I move them. If enough skin was removed, wouldn't this area be tighter even though I am still healing. I had a tummy tuck and I could see the dog ears early in the healing process and this never went away. Will the shaking of the arms subside? I do see improvement with the arms but feel more should have been removed.
For the past few days the brachioplasty scar on my left arm is feeling very tight, especially when I'm sleeping, is this normal? A little background - I had brachioplasty in December followed two weeks later by emergency surgery to reopen my left arm to treat acute compartment syndrome which caused nerve damage (brachioplexus injury) - that's healing but the crushing pain has recently returned as well. Scars are hypertrophic scars and I've had steroid injections, last one was two months ago.
Hi can good lipo do the trick or is having a scar my only option? Also I was born with these indentations; however ironically the skin around that area is fairly tight. Also I was heavier in the past and lost weight; however my arms (well the indents/rolls have seemed to become more defined not in a good way :/ Ive searched this site endlessly and have not come across anyone with arms like mine. Thanks for your time in advance!
Had an extended brachioplasty done a week ago. Last day antibiotics a couple days ago and since then lots of swelling tightness and tingling in upper arm to point compression feels like cuts off wrist circulation. I am icing and elevating arms. Any other ideas or concerns re this
Hello I had brachioplasty 7 months ago. 3 weeks ago I had a scar Revision in my armpits and under my breast. My brachioplasty scars that are down my upper arm are still extremely painful and tight. I have tried everything under the sun. Silicone gel silicone sheets Mederma to laser treatments cocoa butter Bio-Oil I am not getting any relief does anybody have any hope to offer me. I also still wear my compression garment almost Around the Clock still because it is still so painful
I am on day 10 after brachioplasty with liposuction and I am still experiencing a burning sensation in both arms. With walking longer in duration than 10 minutes, my arms begin to feel tight and I have tingling Sensations in the forearm and wrist, with tightness and burning in the upper arm.
Severe pain and swelling in right forearm, called superficial phlebitis by surgeon, NOT resolving since May 11. 2017. Milder case on left arm.I am terrified this will be permanent in my right arm and I will have this pain and disfigurement of a swollen forearm when goal was arm reduction. Plus my forearms were always slender! My upper arm incision on right feels very tight, forearm always hurts, worse with any activity. Surgeon recommend no compression, still has not. I am afraid of permanence !
I had brachioplasty 8 days ago. Today they switched me from an XL compression sleeve to a large. They also removed three stitches (the rest being internal and dissolvable). Suddenly today my arm (mainly the right one) has been throbbing and is painful. Could the compression sleeves be too tight now?
I paid extra during revision to include lipo and not sure if they did that. The banding is bad (right arm) and looks like he pulled skin too tight. Can something be done to reverse this banding? Do I need to request another revision? I don't know what to do.
