I had a session of micro needling done for some stretch marks I have (needle length: 2mm, so on the longer side). Im planned to start taking Accutane soon, albeit a low dose (10 mg daily). Just wondering how long I should wait after my microneedling session before I can start my Accutane treatment? Thanks in advance!
Hi There, i have pllar cyst on my scalp. I am 83kgs and using 20mg/p isotretinoin per day. It is qlmost 2 mnths now but my cyst feel bigger and sore now. I am really wondering accutane will heal the bump?. Do i need to increse my dosage per day? Is it toi earrly ti expect improvent after 2 months? Realy appreciate if anyone asnwers. Thanks in advance.
Hello, I need advice that can be backed up with a publication that I would like access to or any resources that confirm research. I am starting on 30mg of Accutane. I have spent the last year committed to electrolysis on my face and its been life changing. I am getting conflicting information from dermatologist and electrolysist as well as answers on this forum as to the safety of receiving electrolysis while on Accutane. Dermatologist one month post Accutane start , Electrolysist 6-12 months.
I have taken 2 courses of accutane- both with 30mg for 2 months, then 60mg for 6 months. The second course was mainly to address oily skin, but it came back. I want to do 20mg weekly indefinitely for my oily skin. The only issue I had during both courses was hair thinning at 60mg daily towards the last 4 months. Is this a cumulative effect or a higher dose effect? If I do 20mg weekly for my oily skin, will I experience hair thinning? Please help!
I have done everything for my acne except oral antibiotics. I personally dont want to go on them because i want a permanent fix. i want the chances to be as little as possible for the medicine not to work, and antibiotics dont work for many people permanently. my acne is hormonal, but it is persist and painful. will my dermatologist put me on accutane?
I am a 21 yr old male that took accutane for 2 months and stopped because of hair shedding. However, after 7 months, Ive noticed that my hairline receded and that my hair is growing thinner and slower. The hair on my head keeps shedding and I see scalp now. I think accutane may have permanently thinned some hair follicles. Is this possible? What can I do?
Ive been on dianette for 2 0years but I still get cystic acne. Everytime I come off dianette my acne gets much much worse so I go back on it. Im due to start accutane next month and I want to know if its better to come off dianette while I am on accutane. There is no chance I can get pregnant so I dont need it for contraception. I am concerned that even if accutane completely clears my skin the acne will just come back as soon as I stop the dianette. I am 40 in a few months.
My dermatologist prescribed accutane and prednisolone and she said i should start it together and the prenisolone dose decrease by days she said first 3 days i should take 2 pills of 20 mg and then 1 pill so is it fine if i started accutane before and then add prednisolone or is it a must to start them together
