Is this normal on Accutane? Im on my 3rd week of it and Im starting to get tiny white bumps on my jaw/face. They are not very visible. Could it be my pores purging? At first I thought it could be a rash, it doesnt itch at all.
Im using isotretinoin from last 2 weeks but does not see any improvement.pimples are in same condition.but there are some lil bit side effects 1:dry lips 2:itching and rashes on skin 3:skin dry that cause pain. When i see the improvement in acne. Because im fed up :/. I lost my self confidence
I took accutane for 6 months for minor chin acne. After a month of being off the drug I developed a red bumpy rash on my chest, thighs & legs. I had minor keratosis pilaris rubra on my face & arms since I was a child and am 28, it appears to be the same kind of small red bumps as KP but I have never had it anywhere else & have had clear soft skin. I have had the rash for 6 mths now & it appears to be getting worse. I have tried AHAs & differin 1% on my chest for almost 2 mths w no improvement.
Ive been on accutane for 2 months now (40mg a day) and I started to get itchy rashes on my lower legs, it has now spread to my wrists and upper legs aswell. What do I use to treat them? And also, is my 40mg dosage too low? I'm a 17 year old female with mild facial and back acne and I weigh about 65kg's
It's my 3-rd week on accutaine and I've got some pretty annoying rashes. My whole body itches. The most problem areas are the hands/forearms, it's very red and itchy, so is my entire body but is not red only these 2 areas seems to be red. So is this normal ? Should I stop taking the medication ? And if now how do I treat it ?
I have always had acne-prone skin. I went on Accutane for 8 months & had no breakouts, for 7 years. Then I used a scrub on my face that contained coconut oil & broke out in a rash of tiny bumps. Then I started getting full-size pimples and even cystic pimples, which I've never gotten. I went back on Accutane but after a month, I was still breaking out. Is there any other solution to this problem? I feel something is wrong feel in my skin because my pores are extremely clogged.
I'm currently on 30mg of accutane - 2 1/2 months into my treatment. I've had mild leg/arm rash for much of the treatment which I've been treating with cortisone cream, however the rash on my leg has worsened. The skin is lumpy, scaly and a strange brownish colour in places. This morning it was lightly oozing (probably where I had foolishly scratched.) It's very sore. Is this normal? I've tried taking a picture but the skin was less inflamed after my shower and it's hard to capture on camera.
I am on my second month of accutane, and my dermatologist has upped my dosage to 40mg to 60mg, and I am noticing that I had been getting somesort of rash pn my legs. I tried putting hydrocortisone 1% on it but t made me feel like my skin was burning.
My brother has been taking accutane for about 2 months. His dermatologist recently upped the dosage so he can take it twice a day. He started having a really bad rash by his armpit. I took him to his pediatrician, she did a visual test and said it was herpes. Which didn't make sense to me because I was in wrestling and never saw herpes on the skin. I want a second opinion. I took accutane myself and know one of the side effects is a irritating rash.
