I am about to start Accutane as approved by my dermatologist. I have already started the ball rolling and I am waiting the month to start for a second negative pregnancy test. I ran out of face wash so I picked up a new one to hold me over. After three days of use, my skin started burning and peeling especially around the mouth and cheeks. Now (fourth day) it is completely red and scaly and hurts to touch. If I am having this reaction to Salicylic acid, is it still safe for me to try Accutane?
My dermatologist gave me isotretinoin to treat my nose, however I have 2 small burns which occured 4 months ago.One of them was from N.D.Yag laser which was on high settings and I was wondering if I should apply isotretinoin on these 2 parts or if I should avoid them. Will isotretinoin help these burns or make them worse?
Experienced skin irritation after a 4month course of roacutane while using exfoliating face wash. Skin was very sensitive. Used nerisone fatty ointment for a week or so on and off which seems to have caused some damage to the skin around the creases of the mouth and sides of chin area. Skin here is darker than on the rest of the face and the crease on one side of the face is more prominent. I'm of Indian ethnicity with hyper pigmentation. Is there a way to heal the damage caused to skin cells?
Can I dye my hair 1-2 weeks after stopping low dose (20mg) Accutane? I've heard that you should wait 1-2 weeks after Accutane to dye your hair although I know some people dye their hair while they are on Accutane. I am extremely paranoid and do not want to burn my skin, how long should I wait to dye my hair? Thanks!
