Im 18-year-old, 130 lbs 55 & been suffering w/ cystic acne since I was 14. I started my first round of Accutane when I was 16 40mg 2x a day for 6 months. I went on my 2nd Round 6 months after I finished my first when I was 17 with 40 mg 2x daily for the first 3 months and 40 mg in the morning & 60 @ night. now here I am, 6 months later, breaking out again & considering going back on it. Nothing helps but accurate + i experience all the side effects. the pics show just the beginning
I have been on accutane for 10 weeks now, starting of on 20, then 30, and now 40mg. I can only see minor improvements with breakouts still happening. Do I need a higher dosage? I weigh 66kg, I'm just worying as its a 6 month course and I'm not far from half way there. Leaving your personal experiences will mean a lot, thanks in advance
I am 19 years old, female, 53 and weigh 130lbs. i started accutane a month ago and im wondering if its okay to take magnesium on it. i have hypothyroidism and half my thyroid removed. my endocrine took me off levothyroxine at age 17 and put me on phentermine. after taking phentermine for a year i now have horrible digestive problems. ive completely changed my diet to vegan& gluten free but still, magnesium is the ONLY thing that helps me go to bathroom.
My dermatologist started me at 80mg and told me we would try it out for five months. He had me taking an antibiotic that cleared up my face temporarily, so I started accutane with an almost clear face. I say temporarily, because I've been on that antibiotic two other times and after three months the acne returns. Is the 80mg too much for my weight?
I started accutane 25 days ago at 40mg twice a day. Im a 25 year old girl, weigh about 145lbs, and live in Phoenix Arizona. My skin in dry but mostly where my acne is, Ive been having a terrible initial breakout for the last week and a half, my lips are so raw I can feel my pulse in them (Ive tried every brand of lip balm/lubricant) and it hurts to do basic things like eat, talk, and smile. It seems like 80mg a day for where I live and my size is too much. Is that true?
Ive been on accutane for 2 months now (40mg a day) and I started to get itchy rashes on my lower legs, it has now spread to my wrists and upper legs aswell. What do I use to treat them? And also, is my 40mg dosage too low? I'm a 17 year old female with mild facial and back acne and I weigh about 65kg's
I read the label on the fish oil and there is no vitamin A. I am taking 40mg/day and I am 140 pounds. Is this safe? Also I know you are supposed to take it with fat/meal. Can I take it with a meal that contains good fat such as avocado and salmon?
I suffer with mild acne and I have been on Accutane for 3 months now. I'm on 40mg a day, 5ft3 tall and weigh around 63 kilos. My eczema has returned after not having it for 15 years, my dermatitis is 10 times worse which I suffer quite bad with anyway, I have red patchy scaly legs and my mood swings and emotions are horrendous! My acne has basically cleared up and I feel alot more confident in my skin, do I really need to carry on taking them if my skin is now the way I want it too be?
I've been on accurate since mid November pretty consistently (with small gaps due to getting the prescription mailed but usually less than a week). I was told I had cystic acne and although it was worsened at first it started to clear up. I've been off for about 5 weeks now due to a blood work issue due to an illness and am now about to start it again. If I've been off for this long and start taking it again will I go through the acne getting worse again? Age 17 weight 145 height 5' 10
I have been on 30 mg of accutane a day for 90 days (3 months) and the only real side effects are a bit of dry skin around the mouth and of course the damn lips. Nothing bad. I tolerate accutane very well. My question is if I can increase my dosage to 60 mg (so I can finish earlier) without dramatically increasing the side effects. If I get a bit more dry skin I don't care and I am willing to make that sacrifice to finish quicker. Or should I stay on 30mg for 10 months? I am 60kg, 24yrs, 5'11.
