IT director. Live in Miami and chose Dr. Bauamann and LipoSonix to loose that stubborn fat on my sides that would not go away no matter how hard I worked out. Great results!! over one inch lost in one treatment. A little painful though but so glad I did it more »

Pros: None yet but apparently still too soon to tell. Cons: Very,very extremely painfull. Had love handles and abdomen done. It took about3 hours and in that time i had 2 Percocet and one Tylenol 3 and some ativan and still in extreme pain, ended up having to take an injectable painkiller... more »

Liposonix Information

  • Liposonix is a new non surgical body contouring device currently being tested for the US market and already available in Europe and Canada.  The US FDA approval of Liposonix is delayed (perhaps until 2011). According to reports, the data presented by Medicis in the FDA application to market the Liposonix system in the U.S. were insufficient

Liposonix treatment on the abdomen

  • The LipoSonix treatment is a non-invasive fat reduction technology that uses ultrasound energy to get rid of unwanted abdominal fat.  The device uses deep-reaching, high intensity ultrasound energy to effectively destroy fat tissue in the area treated. The dislodged fat transfers to your liver.
  • The procedure is not intended to treat weight loss/obesity or body areas with little fat.
  • A Liposonix treatment takes 1 hour
  • Liposonix side effects may include temporary redness, mild bruising, discomfort, and swelling.
  • Treatment with the LipoSonix system should be avoided if pregnant.
