What alternatives are there to liposuction surgery, itself? Well, liposuction surgery, as I've mentioned, is all about reducing and removing disproportion of patient. And some of these newer technologies that are coming about should really be reserved for that also, such as Zeltiq Cryolipolysis. In my practice I use Liposonix, which I find is the most effective nonsurgical approach to liposuction surgery itself. But again, I only use it to target areas of genetic disproportion. Quite honestly, if a patient is open to liposuction surgery, it's always going to give a more precise and more impressive improvement, when done properly. These nonsurgical alternatives are really for patients who absolutely do not want to do surgery itself, and are looking for reasonable improvements. But you don't have the same precision that you do with a surgery, if it's done properly. But again, remember that liposuction or these alternatives are to target this proportion. Losing weight and getting into shape is a completely separate issue.
