Dr. William Bruno: Whether it's a breast augmentation or rhinoplasty, patients have a difficult time imagining what they will look like after surgery. Fortunately, we offer 3D imaging to our patients for certain procedures, which can ease the decision making process. This allows patients to visualize what they may look like before they actually have surgery. Basically, a photo is taken, by a series of high-resolution cameras, and mirrors. Then, specialized computer software recreates a 3D image, which can modified, until the desired outcome is achieved. The whole process takes about three minutes, and patients can then see, on their own body, what the results will look like.

I now routinely use 3D imagining as part of my consultations, and I find it extremely helpful to patients, especially with regard to breast implant size. It really helps take the guesswork out of which implant size to choose.

Benefits of 3D Imaging Before Plastic Sugery

Dr. William Bruno discusses how beneficial 3D imaging can be pre-surgery. It allows the patient to visualize what they can look like post surgery.
