I see a large number of patients seeking mommy makeovers. A lot of that has to do with the fact that I'm a woman and I'm a mom and I very much relate to women after pregnancy and the changes that can't be affected with diet and exercise alone. I tried to really get a strong handle on post-operative pain controls, so that people are up on their feet a little bit sooner and I do that with a long-acting injectable medication. I also try to minimize the use of drains. Most importantly I try to help patients understand how to prepare ahead of time so that they're not scrambling to make sure that their kids are being transported back and forth from activities and school when I know there's a period when they won't be able to drive. I also try to make sure that they understand how long that process will be and when they can go ahead and plan for getting their lives back.
