Relieved and Content with Voluma

After reading all the reviews and doc Q&As and having 2 derm consults, I made the decision to go for it. Having read all the not-so-great results and side effects had made me a little nervous and the stories of too much voluma also scared me but everyday as I looked at my sudden aging in the mirror, particularly with my more noticeable nasolabial smile lines, I knew I just needed to take a... Okay but Not Entirely Pleased- San Antonio, TX

After much research, I made an appointment with Dr. Dechers who came recommended by my OBGYN. The consultation lasted a good hour but I was made to feel that I had taken a lot of their time with questions and at the end, I felt rushed rushed out the door and told to call with any further questions. Although pleasant, the Patient Coordinator just doesn't come across as real or sincere so I... READ MORE

Maybe 1/2 a syringe in each nasolabial area? Thank you for your suggestion! READ COMMENT

I think a lot of docs go for the "Apple" face look which does create bigger/higher cheeks especially when smiling. I'd talk to your doc to talk about your concerns, or see another doc. After more reading and seeing my deeper smile line... READ COMMENT

Thank you. My nasolabial smile lines are still there and actually, on one side, the smile line looks deeper when I smile, which is odd. My coworker pointed it out. READ COMMENT

I think I need more than the 1 syringe but maybe not another half in each cheek. Not sure. I'm going to ask for 1/4 more in each cheek and to save the other half for later, which many dermatologists do for their patients. READ COMMENT

Where was the voluma placed? Maybe that affected your overall look? Mine was primarily placed in the high cheekbone areas, and a minimal amount just under at the mid face. READ COMMENT
