As you probably know, RealSelf and the internet is filled with ultherapy disaster stories. I saw a comment once about damaging results being due to either counterfeit devices or wrong settings used. In the case of wrong settings / treatment depth, what are the appropriate treatment depths for different areas of the face to avoid damage / bad results? (Thin undereye skin / lids, forehead, jaw, brows, etc.) What else should a patient know about settings / technique to avoid bad results? Thanks.
I have had a consult for Ultherapy and was recommended as a candidate. My concern is that my skin is thin and I have read reports of Ultherapy further thinning it - how common is this and how worried should I be? I am mostly concerned about lifting and tightening the skin on my neck and lower face/nasolabial folds/sagging jowls. (I'm also interested in improving the tone and large pores, but am worried about too much exfoliation and peels with thin skin).
Had Ultherapy done to small square around my belly button and they used 1.5 and 3.5. Going to another place that will use 3.5mm and 4mm for my flanks. Why did first place bother with 1.5? Is it cheaper for them?
I am a thin person and I don't have very much volume in my face or neck. I am considering Ultherapy face /neck, but I'm afraid it may not have good results and may even cause more volume loss in my face. I also have upper lip lines. Would I be a good candidate for Ultherapy or a mini lift? I am concerned with down time (have little kids), and embarrassing obvious facelift scars. Can a neck lift be done under local anesthesia? Any recommendations for my melting face would be appreciated!
